Best Wishes Oriental Lady 7x5in card - new year, new challenge... Hi Craft addicts! First of all I hope you had a great Christmas and have a really happy New Year! Personally, I am amazed that I completed my 366 day challenge and am now working on my next one.. I aim to do as many challenges and blogs as possible but maybe not one a day :)  So, today's challenge is using a pre cut "Oriental Lady" silhouette topper (from Pinflair), some dye based inks on a 7" x 5" white card... How I made this card:- I cut out the "Oriental Lady" from the Pinflair Background Artist pack and coloured the background in "Blue" dye based inks placing a "circle" at the top of it as a mask. I also left some space towards the "mountain area" and then coloured that using some "Red and Orange" Generation INX pads trying to give a "cloud" effect. Once I was happy with it, I placed it onto a 7" x 5"...

Oriental scene in silhouette in large wooden picture frame -  day 205 of my 366 day challenge HI Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have made this Oriental inspired Wall hanging/picture frame (measures 24x32cm approx) which I think is really stylish and would make a great gift (you can buy it from my website by clicking on the button to the right) I first of all used one of the Oriental theme "Background Artists" silhouette picture from Pinflair (you can get them here and coloured it in using a variety of distress/dye based ink pads (from Tim Holtz and Generation InX ) in red , orange , blue, purple and black colours to create a sunset scenario . I then burnished the silhouette shapes to get rid of any surplus inks. I then edged the panel with some black alcohol marker pen and glued it onto a panel cut out in white cardstock using the Spellbinders Fanciful Lattice die template. Flowers and leaves blackboard style wall plaque -  Day 161 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So for today's challenge, I have decided to use this Pinflair " Blackboard Frames cartonnage set " to make a bright and cheerful wall plaque. This set contains many different sizes of backing "sheets" and "frames" but I chose the largest (which measures 25x20cm )  of both to make this. So first of all, I painted both parts of the frame in black Pebeo acrylic Gesso paint a couple of times - first of all one way and then another the opposite direction and allowed them to dry. I then glued them together making sure it was even all the way round. I then cut out some flowers in various colours using the "Shades" cardstock (smaller version).
