Birthday Smiles set of 3 gift cards - hand coloured and stamped - Day 142 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project is a set of 3 hand coloured small cards that can be used as gift cards or just to say Happy Birthday! How I made these cards:- I had these small cards and when I had stamped out the scenes realised that they were the perfect size for them! I stamped each image out on to white stamping card and coloured them in using a mix of alcohol markers, Zig Clean Color pens and Distress inks - Tim Holtz, Spectrum Noir, Altenew and La Plume to name a few! I used a small score board (the Tattered Lace one is perfect for these little cards) and scored 2 lines on the right hand side of the card - first of all from the inside and then repeated the score on the outside. I then cut the stamped images out and edged them all using a dark blue alcohol marker and stuck them to the front of each card. I used the Happy Birthday and Smile! sentiments (not sure...

Country cottage hand painted and stamped oval wall plaque -  Day 136 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Something different today for day 136 of my 365 day challenge - this time it is an oval MDF wall plaque which has been made using papers from Hunkydory and a stamp from Stamps Away. How I made this plaque:- I stamped the Country Cottage image (from Stamps Away) on to some white stamping card and coloured it in using Zig Clean Color pens and a water brush.  Once it was dry, I trimmed it, leaving a very narrow white border at the top and bottom and then edged it with a blue alcohol marker. I used 2 sheets of the pale blue spotty side from Hunkydory's Twilight Forest paper pad and glued them to either side of an oval MDF wall plaque. Before it was dry, I pressed the paper towards the edge of the plaque and trimmed it. Once dry, I then used a emery board (but you could use a proper sand paper) and removed the excess paper - this gives you a neater fini...

Door with butterflies and ivy mini pallet art wall hearing -  Day 131 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! So for today's challenge I have used another set of the MDF mini pallet s from Stamps Away t o make this door wall hanging. I first of all glued the 4 pallets together using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue leaving it to dry before each and then attached the smaller panels to give the effect of a door. Once it was all stuck properly, I then painted it with "Ivory" acyrlic paint from Nuvo , giving it a couple of coats making sure it was dry between each. I also painted the reverse side too. Once at was all done, I used the Tonic Studios " Beautiful Buckle " strip die to cut out a panel which I thought might look like a decorative embellishment and glued it to the "door". Be a voice, not an echo - dandelion canvas - Day 50 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So day 50 of my challenge has arrived (am so amazed that I have kept it going)! I was playing with some stamps and thought that the dandelion or alium image from Clarity Stamps would look great as a focal point on a canvas so.... I first of all painted the canvas ( 4x6ins approx) olive green using Tonic Studios Nuvo Acrylic paint collection with a couple of coats and left it to dry. Using the Tattered Lace oval pin point dies , I cut out one of the largest dies in white card stock. I then stamped the biggest alium in the collection using Black Onyx Memento Luxe pigment ink on it and then added some Stamps Away clear Embossing powder and heated it so that it became shiny. Vintage style crate - my first attempt.. Day 30 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! As the old saying goes, and now for something completely different! I really need some more storage space for my craft items so thought rather than just covering an old cardboard box, I would attempt to use one of the kits that Stamps Away (Ali Reeve) sells and see how easy it was to make! Well this one is very simple (but have to admit I didn't notice I had one of the side panels on incorrectly until I had glued it - I definitely won't make that mistake again! (but as it happens it didn't really make a difference as I am the only one who would notice it (maybe I shouldn't have admitted it). So, first of all, I made sure that all the panels were clean and following the instructions glued each of them in turn. I then used a large rubber band to hold them in place until completely stuck. Home decor - Gift coaster set  Hi Craft Addicts! I have made this as a gift for a wedding anniversary so thought it would make a good blog as to how I made it! First of all, this is the Stamps Away coaster set which consists o f 6 11cm round and 6 10cm square coasters - both with their own holders. For this one, I chose the round one and so glued the 3 "sides" into the base (using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue ) and then covered it with a couple of coats of the Pebeo Black Gesso which is really great at giving it a smooth finish. I also painted the 6 coasters in the same Gesso all over (including the sides) and let them to dry. Once the base was dry I added a Tattered Lace white circle and added a Tonic Studios black layer which I thought looked like vines to it. Flights of Fantasy Fairy MDF tag Hi Craft Addicts! As mentioned in my last post, I have been experimenting with various ways of using MDF and started out with a couple of smaller ones which I showed last time and slightly better ones (see below for ones made using Graphic 45 papers and my own abstract flowers ) From the smaller ones, I moved on to the Fairy one below which turned out well I think! I first of all used the Pebeo Studio Acrylic black gesso and painted the MDF (it measures approx 19x13cm ) a couple of times - I used a brush but the next time I think I will used a Braye r to give it a uniform cover.  Whilst this dried (and it is really quick), I cut out the beautiful image of the red haired fairy from the " Flights of Fantasy " paper crafting kit which Crafter's Companion brought out recently.
