Day 131 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft Addicts!

So for today's challenge I have used another set of the MDF mini pallets from Stamps Away to make this door wall hanging.

I first of all glued the 4 pallets together using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue leaving it to dry before each and then attached the smaller panels to give the effect of a door.

Once it was all stuck properly, I then painted it with "Ivory" acyrlic paint from Nuvo, giving it a couple of coats making sure it was dry between each. I also painted the reverse side too.

Once at was all done, I used the Tonic Studios "Beautiful Buckle" strip die to cut out a panel which I thought might look like a decorative embellishment and glued it to the "door". I painted the lock (again from Stamps Away) in black and stuck it in between the 2 struts.

I felt that it needed something else so first of all stamped and embossed some "dandelion clocks" from Clarity Stamps Alium stamp set using Onyx black Versafine ink pad along with some clear embossing powder from DoCrafts Papermania.

To give the impression of some nails on both the panel and lock, I used some Nuvo crystal drops around the edges and top and bottom of the lock.

I also cut out the strip of ivy using Spellbinders "Greek Island" die collection in green paper and then coloured it further using green Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and used some darker Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud blending inks to give it a slightly distressed look.

As a final touch, I cut out four butterflies from the Little Book of  "Butterflies" from Hunkydory and stuck them on to the door at regular intervals. I also used some narrow white cord so that it can be hung up.
