Bird and birdhouse on pink and white C6 gatefold card - Day 140 of my 366 day challenge
Bird and birdhouse on pink and white C6 gatefold card -
Day 140 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
So a Hunkydory topper, some Tattered Lace Shades cardstock, some of their dies and a C6 gatefold card are what I have used to make this bright and cheerful card.
I first of all used the jagged edged die from the Tattered Lace Border collection and cut out two strips of cardstock from their "Shades" collection (This one is from their No.1 Pink small pad).
These pads are just the right size for the C6 white hammered gatefold I used (well I trimmed a weeny bit off both sides once I had glued them to the outer edges of each panel.
I then used some Tim Holtz "Abandoned Coral" distress inks to colour the Tattered Lace lattice background to make it co-ordinate with both the topper and the borders. I then glued the background to the left hand side of the card making sure that only half of it was stuck down.
I then used the really pretty Hunkydory bird and birdhouse topper and attached it to the background using foam pads to raise it away from the card. The card is really bright and cheerful but wanted a little bit more so used some "Carnation PInk" Nuvo crystal drops to decorate it.
I haven't added an insert but will definitely do so so it can match any occasion.
And there you are - a simple but fun card which you can buy on my website here
