Gift card holder with card - black and purple - Day 135 of my 366 day challenge
Gift card holder with card - black and purple -
Day 135 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Something different today for Day 135 of my challenge - I had been working on some cards but this idea came to me - I know there are similar ones available but I thought this looks both stylish and simple!
I first of all designed the templates on CANVAS for Brother Scan n Cut and cut them out in black - as I wanted it to have some texture, I used American Crafts 12" x 12" cardstock. I cut two of the rectangles and one of the black circles. The purple flower is a die-cut that I had cut out previously but will be producing one similar for the kits/templates.
I folded both rectangles in half and glued some white card onto the back of the first one. Once it was dry, I then used some narrow red liner tape (or you could use a wet glue) to stick the bottom and the right hand side together - you need to make sure that you can fit a gift card holder in the space left of course!
I then added an insert to the 2nd rectangle using some white paper to let you write a message in it.
Once I was happy with the way it looked, I glued the purple flower embellishment onto the front of the card first and then added the black part to it using thin foam pads. I also added some "Wisteria Purple" and "Clear" Nuvo Crystal drops along the left hand side and then dragged a pin through them to give an arrow effect. It could have a message on the black circle but I quite like it as it is!
And there you are - a simple but stylish gift card holder which you can buy on my website here. You will also be able to buy either the kit or download the templates on my website soon. If you would like to be told when they are available just let me know!
