Hello - Elephant in silhouette Twisted Easel DL card - Day 124 of my 366 day challenge
Hello - Elephant in silhouette Twisted Easel DL card -
Day 124 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
For today's challenge, I have made this "Twisted Easel DL card" using designs that I have cut out from the Brother Scan n Cut.
I first of all cut out 2 scalloped edge squares (they measure 3.94cm) as the panels on the Twisted Easel DL card are 4cm in grey cardstock*, the elephant (with the outline) is 3.16cm and the word Hello is roughly 3.9cm and I cut them out in black cardstock*
I scored the panels first and then glued the grey squares on to the bottom part of the panels making sure that the glue was only on the relevant parts! The elephant comes in three parts (outline, ear and body) and I decided that I would only use the body and ear as I thought it would be more effective and so stuck the body on to the panel sideways (facing inwards) so that when the card is opened, it is the right way up. I then added the ear to it raising it slightly with some foam pads. I then repeated the process with the word "HELLO".
For the inside of the card, I used a sentiment from the "Year of Sentiments" from Craftwork Cards and stuck it on a deckle edged strip of black card and having decided where I wanted the card to stop when open, I stuck it down using double layers of foam pads.
I further decorated it with some Nuvo crystal drops (bottle green round the scallops and a clear drop for the elephant's eye).
And there you are a really fun card for any occasion - you can buy it from my website here
