Happy Birthday Sandy Lace flowers in silhouette a6 card

Happy Birthday Sandy Lace flowers in silhouette a6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is a quick and easy one using a Tattered Lace die, some dye based inks and a Happy Birthday stamp.... How I made this card:- I had previously used a Stamps By Me die to cut out a flower topper but kept the "waste" and thought I would use it as a stencil to colour the front of an A6 white card. So I used several shades of blue (Altenew and Tim Holtz Distress inks) to colour through it, moving the flowers around the card to give different effects and then lighter blues to create highlights. I then cut out the Sandy Lace dies out (it is a Tattered Lace one) - the main part in black and the background in white card. I then used the same inks to colour the latter card in to create a sky effect, using a circle of card to mask off part of the top left hand corner, I coloured over it, so when I took it away I had left the moon behind (so to speak). Maybe one day quotation hand coloured box frame -  Day 186 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project for day 186 of my 365 day challenge is one I am  really pleased with - I am trying to do more home decor items and this is one that I might just hang on my wall! How I made this project:- I first of all took a piece of white stamping card (just a bit smaller than A6) and dusted it with an anti-static bag and then stamped the quote (from Rare Earth) onto it using Versamagic ink. I then added some white super fine embossing powder to it (I used Cosmic Shimmer True White) and heat set it with a heat gun. I used various colour distress and dye based inks (Tim Holtz, Catherine Pooler and Altenew) - greens, blues, reds and pinks to colour over the words, blending them all as I went).  When I was happy with the result, I used some kitchen roll to remove the excess ink. I also used a water brush to tap some drops of water over it and used the ki...

A Kind Word.... hand stamped and coloured scene 7" x 5" card Hi Craft addicts! It has been a few days since I last posted something but here is one that I have made today using some stamps, inks and dies. How I made this card:- I first of all took some white card and cut out the panel using one of the Create & Craft rectangle dies. Leaving it in the die, I used some Tim Holtz blue Distress Inks (Salty Ocean & Broken China) along with one of the DoCrafts ink pads to colour in the sky (masking off the area for the ground). I then used Altenew inks (Parrot etc) to colour in the grass (masking various places to create some dimension). I took it out of the die and placed it on to some black card. I added the birds and the main grass area from a Craftwork Cards stamp set and the sentiment and other grass bits from a couple of Hunkydory For the Love of Stamps sets. Using different sizes from the  "Torn Edge" rectangle die set from Tattered Lace, I ...
