With Love... Thistle in silhouette A5 card -  Day 303 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 303 of my 365 day challenge is once again one using an old die from Tattered Lace (I also think they have done this for the Brother Scan n Cut), a hand coloured background and some stamping... How I made this card:- The background was made using Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Oranges, Yellows, Reds and some black for the top and bottom - you can of course use any other inks such as Prism, Gina K etc! Once I was happy with it, I edged it with a black alcohol marker to make it stand out. I then cut out the Thistle and leaf spray dies out in black card (the leaf spray twice). Using some Midas Touch Sticky Dots, I glued the thistle on to the centre of the panel - I did try it against various background colours but felt this was quite striking. I then used some PVA glue to attach it to the front of a creamy/ivory pre scored A5 Adorable Scorable card ...

Young at heart... girl on horse hand coloured A6 white card -  Day 213 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is another cheerful and whimsical card using Tattered Lace dies, Alcohol markers and Kuretake watercolour paints... How I made this card:- I first of all painted the background panel using 3 shades of blue watercolour paints from Kuretake using the darker colours for the top and bottom. Once I was happy, I let it dry overnight. I then cut out the girl on a horse (it was originally part of a fairground scene which has it attached to a circle frame) in white card. I coloured it in using a variety of alcohol markers - orange/brown for the girl's hair and the horse's mane and tail. blue and grey for the horse itself, darker grey for its' hooves and black for her shoe. I then snipped the girl and horse away from the circle frame along with the pole as I had the idea that she would be holding a line to the sentiment... Anyway, I colour...

For You - sea scene landscape hand coloured 7x5in card -  Day 151 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am really enjoying trying to create landscapes using distress/dye based inks and was pleased with the way this turned out - though it is a bit annoying to find that I have splashed some water on it....anyway... How I made this card:- I first of all took an A6 piece of white stamping card and coloured the sky in leaving parts of it white to give the impression of clouds. I tried to make the top part of it darker than the rest by adding more ink. I then coloured the bottom two thirds of the card with green inks (Altenew and Tim Holtz), graduating the colour to make it darker at the bottom. I then decided where I wanted the sea to be and added some blue/green to a section of the again making it darker towards each side. Hello - Garden shed and sea scene - hand stamped and coloured 7x5in card - Day 144 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am really pleased with the way the colouring of this card went, in fact, I really like this card and could quite easily be in a boxed frame to make a home decor project! How I made this card:- I took a piece of A6 white stamping card and divided it roughly into thirds and coloured the bottom 2/3rds with green dye based/distress inks - Tim Holtz and Altenew provides different shades to create the grass effect. I then coloured the top third with blue shades (again Tim Holtz and Altenew), trying to blend them in to create the sky. I added some green shade to the bottom part of the blue section to try and make it a bit more sea like. I cut out the Clouds in white card using Memory Box (Poppy Dies) and stuck them to the cloud part of the image, overlapping them in the middle where I knew the shed would go. Set Sail vintage galleon on hand coloured background 7x5in card - Day 124 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I was playing with some Brea Reese Watercolour inks to make the background for this 7x5in card. How I made this card:- I first of all covered a piece of white cardstock with water and then painted the sea scape scene using blue, greens, purples and yellow watercolour inks from Brea Reese. I left it to dry overnight and trimmed it so that there was no white card showing. I then used the hill part of a mask and stencilled through it using Pure Graphite Altenew ink cube. I used the galleon stamp from For the Love of Stamps Set Sail set and stamped it on the bottom part using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured it in using some brown and grey alcohol markers. I also used one of the stars stamps and stamped it all over the sky using DoCrafts Crystal White pigment ink. Thank you card with flowers and grasses in silhouette C6 card -  Day 55 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well it is the weekend again and I thought I would show you a card I made for one of the very kind people who have donated to my sponsored slim (which I am doing for MacMillan Nurses -  https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/felicity-fuller ) - anyway, I was really pleased with the way that this one turned out.. How I made this card:- I wanted this card to have a sunrise background rather than a sunset one, so used reds, pinks, oranges and yellow dye based inks (Altenew and Tim Holtz Ranger) - gradually blending them in so that it looked "realistic" on a pre-cut C6 white stamping card (this one is from Rare Earth). I then stamped the grasses and flowers image (from Stamps by Me) on to it using Versafine Onyx Black in and added some clear embossing powder and set it using my heat tool.
