   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Poppy themed 7x5in card. I used a Hunkydory Prism punch to round the corners of a 7" x 5" landscape white card (from Paper Boutique) but decided to use it as a tent fold one instead. I then used one of the larger Rectangle Mini Lace dies from Tattered Lace and cut it out in Holographic Mirror card (from Kanban). I took a piece of Willow White card (from Sheena Douglass) and placed it in a stamping platform and then stamped the Poppy image (from Sheena's Tall & Elegant Refined stamp set) a couple of times to get a crisp image using Gina K Black Obsidian ink. I die cut the image using a slightly smaller die from the same Rectangle set and stuck it to the larger panel using a tape pen as I didn't want any glue seeping on to the Mirror card. I attached the completed panel on to the front of the card with some PVA glue, trying to leave a narrow border all the way around it. F...

  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is a plain and simple one made from scratch using dies and stamps. The card has been made from scratch and I took the largest scalloped edge rectangle die from a set from Lisa Horton and cut out two pieces of white card. I then scored one of the longer edges just where the first scallop finishes using my Hunkydory Adorable Scorable and added some red liner tape to it and attached the front part of the card to it making sure they both lined up. I had cut out several of the next size down rectangles (again from the same set as the card itself) and so used one of them to create the topper. I stamped the cocktail glass from the Cocktail range from Thirsty Brush using Gina K's Obsidian Black ink and coloured it in using various colours from Creative Expressions Cosmic Shimmer Neon polishes. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a Congratulations card using stamps and alcohol markers.... I took the Scented Blooms stamp from a Jane Gill collection in the Woodware range from Creative Expressions and stamped it on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink as it is a hybrid ink and can be used for both watercolours and alcohol inks. I then used Spectrum Noir pastel alcohol markers to colour the flowers in - I decided to use pink, yellow and lilac colours as I wanted it to look a bit Spring like.  Once I was happy with them, I then coloured the leaves in with a couple of Green Tri-blender markers again from Spectrum Noir and fussy cut around the whole image. For the background I used various watercolour inks and also Cosmic Shimmer Neon Green polish along with adding some a Green/gold Glimmer pen from Ink Lily to the darker part of it and let it dry. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one I made to give to my daughter and son in law to celebrate the birth of their first son! The outline silhouette is from the new range from Sheena Douglass and is called Shaping Up Nature - Woman and I first of all snipped the bits away so there were the two main stencils. I hadn't got any freezer paper but decided I would try and use it anyway, so placed it over a piece of 8" white stamping card from Hunkydory and coloured the inside with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (Broken China and Dusty Concord) blending the two colours together. Once I was happy with the effect, I cut around it with some sharp scissors and glued it to the front of an A5 white card using PVA glue. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is an quick and easy card using just stamps and some inks.... I first of all took a white DL card and rounded the corners using my Prism (from Hunkydory) punch. I then measured a piece of white super smooth stamping card so that it would fit about 3/4 of the front of the card. I used a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks from Speckled Egg to Salty Ocean and created the background, trying to make it lighter at the top.  I then spritzed it with some water to lighten parts of it and let it dry. Once it was dry, I took the Treasures of the Sea Rubber Stamp from a collection of silhouette stamps by Creative Expressions Designer Boutique range and inked it up with Gina K Obsidian Black ink and stamped it on to the background, making sure that it was all inked properly.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a different one for me as I was playing with a different shaped card. You need two DL cards which you use with the fold at the top. I first of all scored one of them down the middle of the front of the card using my Hunkydory's Adorable Scoreboard and folded it back on itself. I took two pieces of the wood effect paper (I know various companies sell this in different pads but you could also score it at equal distances using a scoreboard and then used Distress Oxide inks in different shades of brown to create the same effect). I used some Fired Brick Distress Oxide and edged the paper and then glued it to the back of the card with some PVA glue. I used the Swirling Elephants stamps from a collection from Gemini's range from Crafters Companion and stamped them at either end of the card.  I then coloured them in with a grey Spectrum Noir Tri-blend marker.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this large flower card - I hope you like it! I first of all took a piece of white card and painted the background using various pinks, yellows and greens Be Creative Twilights watercolour paints (they are metallic which is hard to see in the photo). Once it was dry, I placed the cardstock in a stamping platform and stamped the large flower stamp from Stamps by Me with Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I then added the leaves by stamping the image several times around the flower again using the Gina K ink. Once I had finished the stamping, I rounded the corners using my Prism punch and attached it to some purple textured card (from Crafter's Companion) using PVA glue. I also rounded the corners with the same punch and stuck it to the front of a 7" square card (again rounding the corners). Merry Christmas - Owl in Silhouette card -  Day 355 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I thought I would make a slightly different (non festive) Christmas card for day 355 of my challenge - this time using an image I cut out using my Brother Scan n Cut on a hand coloured background. How I made this card:- I found this image of an owl (not sure where I found it) and imported it into my Brother Scan n Cut Canvas Workspace and resized it to the one I wanted (approx 3.5" x 3") and then moved it to my machine and cut it out in black card. I coloured a piece of white linen effect with Orange, Yellow and Red dye based/distress inks to create a sunrise/sunset background. I then trimmed it to 4.5" x 5" and glued it to a slightly larger black piece of card. I cut a strip of Orange and White spotty paper (approximately 1" wide and 7" wide) and glued it to a slightly wider piece of black card. I then glued it to the centre of a 7...

Fun Snowmen With Love at Christmas DL card -  Day 354 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Another Snowman card for day 354 of my challenge - this time a fun DL card using stamps and alcohol markers! How I made this card :- I first of all stamped the snowman image out on to some white stamping card - the stamp is from Woodware. I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink to do this as I was going to use alcohol markers. I then coloured them in using orange, yellow, blue, turquoise and grey - trying to tone them in to give some dimension. I then trimmed it to fit a panel of copper paper which would fit a DL white card and attached them both using PVA glue. I glued them both to the front of the card again using PVA glue, leaving a narrow border around it. I then stamped the pennant frame out using the Tuxedo Black ink and then stamped the With Love at Christmas sentiment in the centre of it.  I cut around the frame leaving a narrow border and attached it to ...
