Beautiful... Floral spray on oval background 7" x 5" card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one I really enjoyed making using stamps, dies, alcohol markers and pencils ( and yes it is a white card).... I have also added a couple of pictures showing the difference between just alcohol markers and adding the pencils. I first of all cut out a piece of white stamping card using the largest of theSpellbinders Petit Picot edge oval die set. I then stamped out the Floral Spray stamp image on to it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and left it to dry a bit. I coloured it in first of all using pastel shades from the Sketching set of Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens and this is the result. As you can see, it is very pale and I could have left it like that but felt that I wanted to see how different it would be if I used Stabilo FSC pencils on top and so coloured half in and again this is how it turned out (and you can definitely see how vibrant they became).. So I then coloured the rest in (see the main...

Be Your own kind of Beautiful 7x5in card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft Addicts! Today's latest handmade card was made using stencils, resist card and stamps... read how I made it below! I first of all took a piece of the flower resist cardstock from Hunkydory and coloured over it using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks. When I was happy with the result I used a Microfibre cloth to take away any excess ink. I then used a Sue Bake Modernista dandelion stencil to ink through it to create the next layer. I used Gina K Obsidian Black ink for this and the sentiment. I must admit I can't remember where the sentiment came from but thought it went well with the design so stamped it on the right hand side. I attached the panel on to the front of a 7x5in Black pearlescent card which Create and Craft used to produce. And there you are a quick and easy card, the design of which could also be transferred on to mixed media. So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:- Follow us on Twitter       Like us on Facebook      ...

There are so many beautiful reasons...happy  7x5in white card Hi Craft Addicts! Well, day 2 of taking part in the 100 day challenge and this time it is a card using masks, inks and stamps. How I made this card:- I first of all took the Hand painted Pebbles stencil and placed it over the front of a 7" x 5" white card and coloured through it using Apricot Dream and Raspberry Fizz Rare Earth Reaction ink cubes. I then stamped the "There are so many Beautiful reasons to be happy" sentiment (one of Sharon Callis's collection) on to white stamping card (a precut panel from Sweet Dixie). I used Gina K Amalgam black ink to do this. I used Light Green and Orange Tri-blend markers (from Spectrum Noir) to colour the flowers and leaves in. I edged the panel with the chisel end of a black alcohol marker and stuck it on to the front of the card. And there you are a fun and cheerful 7" x 5" white card which was made using stamps from Sharon Calli...

There are so many ways... beautiful... DL white card

There are so many ways... beautiful... DL white card Hi Craft addicts! Well, here is another card that I have made for #WorldCraftWeek - this time using a Sharon Callis sentiment stamp , Rare Earth inks and an Altenew stamp for the flowers. How I made this card:- I used a pre-cut panel (from Sweet Dixie) of white stamping card and dusted it with an anti-static bag. I then stamped the sentiment... There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy (from Sharon Callis) on to it using Versamagic and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Once it had cooled down, I then used various ink cubes (from Rare Earth Reaction collection) to create the background. When I was happy with the colouring, I then used a piece of kitchen roll to remove the excess ink so that the lettering popped out and then edged the panel with a blue/green alcohol marker. I then added a piece of lime green self adhesive paper to roughly a quarter of the left hand side of a DL card. I also added a na...

Beautiful inside and out - blue themed c6 card -  Day 41 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Just a quick card today as I am channel hopping watching the Rugby and the Winter Olympics! Here is day 41's project for my 365 day challenge - hope you like this hand coloured and hand stamped card.. Here is how I made it.... I had cut out a butterfly previously using a Tattered Lace die but felt that I could use the "waste" as a stencil if I was careful and so I coloured through it randomly using one of Altenew's mini pads - I have tried and tried but cannot read what colour it is on the lid... Anyway, once I was happy with what I had done, I checked it against the card and saw it was too big so I trimmed it down using my Cutterpillar Pro and then coloured the edge of it using an alcohol marker. I then stuck it to a slightly larger panel of blue paper (from the Rainbow Radiance Stylish Silhouettes paper pad) and also trimmed that down  I stamped the ...
