Good Luck... Heron and Bees on gold Adoirable Scorable card Hi Craft addicts! I hope you all had a great weekend...Wimbledon Tennis is on so what can be better!  Today's card is one I have made using Hunkydory's Adorable Scorable card, some dies from Lynda Chapman's The Paper Boutique range and a Pretty Quick die... How I made this card:- I trimmed a 7" x 5" pre cut card (Gold/bronze Hunkydory Adorable Scorable) to approximately 6" x 4" as I wanted it to be a bit smaller - you could of course use an A4 piece of card and cut it to 8" x 4" and fold it in half. I then cut out the Heron image using the Pretty Quick Heron die in black card. I also used the Bee die set from Lynda Chapman's The Paper Boutique Butterflies and Bee collection and cut the various segments out in Yellow, Orange and black (all 3 parts in all colours as I wanted to mix n match them). With Love... Thistle in silhouette A5 card -  Day 303 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 303 of my 365 day challenge is once again one using an old die from Tattered Lace (I also think they have done this for the Brother Scan n Cut), a hand coloured background and some stamping... How I made this card:- The background was made using Tim Holtz Distress Inks - Oranges, Yellows, Reds and some black for the top and bottom - you can of course use any other inks such as Prism, Gina K etc! Once I was happy with it, I edged it with a black alcohol marker to make it stand out. I then cut out the Thistle and leaf spray dies out in black card (the leaf spray twice). Using some Midas Touch Sticky Dots, I glued the thistle on to the centre of the panel - I did try it against various background colours but felt this was quite striking. Birthday Wishes blossom topper on hand coloured background 7x5in  card - day 238 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card for day 238 of my 365 day challenge is a Birthday themed one using a Craftwork Cards topper, some Hunkydory Adorable Scorable cardstock and a Tattered Lace die. How I made this card:- I made the background from some Adorable Scorable cardstock (cream) and coloured it with various inks/watercolour paints. I wasn't too sure how it would turn out but was really pleased how it did. I realise now that I should have added some fixative to it as some of the colour does come off if rubbed - I think you can used a cheap hair spray? I then cut it out using the largest of the Nested Beaded Rectangle die from Tattered Lace. The topper is one I got from Craftwork Cards coloured using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks - Yellow and Green and when I was happy with it, I removed the excess from it with some kitchen roll. Have a hoot of a day owl and butterflies 6" card -  Day 165 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So today's card is a slightly different one in that I have used a pre scored 6" Adorable Scorable card from Hunkydory along with a topper from Creative Crafting World's Paper Boutique. How I made this card:- As I mentioned yesterday, I found a load of pre-scored Adorable Scorable Cards from Hunkydory that I thought I better use up and I decided to have a sort of shaped card for this one. I first of all used my Cutterpillar and cut the front of the card diagonally from left to right (or of course right to left). I then used a Tattered Lace Torn Edge circle die to cut out part of the removed card (I will use that for another project). I used Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue to attach the spare piece of card to the inside of the card. Happy birthday - red butterfly on 6" shaped card -  day 234 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Butterflies are proving quite a theme this week as I have once again used a butterfly for the main focal point of today's card. To make the card , I first of all cut out a "Picot edged" circle in black Adorable Scorable card and then cut a smaller circle out of the centre. I then cut out the "butterfly" in red card using the S ue Wilson (Creative Expressions Finishing Touches) Butterfly die - it is a real nice size so definitely can be used as a focal point in a card. As the card i had chosen have spaces in the centre, I needed to make sure that the glue was only on the areas that I knew would be covered by the black circle. I used Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue as it does grab really well. Once that was dry I then glued the red "butterfly" on to the middle panel at a slight angle again using the Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. F...

Happy birthday - foiled Owl C6 card -  Day 233 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Something different today - an owl themed card using hot foil on a C6 white card - well it is the weekend so this is a simple one for day 233 of my 366 day challenge! To create the "OWL" topper - first of all, I took the "owl" letterpress/foil plate and using my TODO hot foiled some "Pink Adorable Scorable" cardstock with some blue foil which (you can get the TODO machine and foil from Create & Craft )   t is definitely true that you have to get to "know your machine" as you need to get the pressure right to get the foiling right. I then cut it out using the accompanying "Owl" (not sure it is currently in stock at C&C). I cut out the shaped oblong frame in good quality white cardstock ( 300gsm ) and stuck the owl in the centre of it and then edged the frame using an alcohol marker to give it some definit...

Get well soon or birthday card - Hedgehog in bed - 7"x5" card -  Day 224 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! This is a really cute image from the "Patchwork Forest" Little Book of toppers from Hunkydory and will make a great "Get Well" or even a birthday card! So, to make this card , I first of all took one of the "hedgehog" topper (you get 6 in the pad so you could decoupage it) and stuck it onto a gold "Mirri" mat (again from Hunkydory) using some Collall All purpose glue to give me some time to get it into the right spot. I then allowed that to dry as I didn't want it to move again and whilst that was happening took one of the "border" strips in my "stash" again from Hunkydory and stuck it to the top and bottom of this "Gold" coloured  7" x 5" card (made from Hunkydory's Adorable Scorable)  To finish off the card, I placed the "Hedgehog...

Bicycle and Balloons 7" white square card  -  Day 174 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! So after all the thunder, lightning and SO much rain last night, I thought I would make this bright and cheerful card! I have used a Hunkydory topper , a Tonic Studios die and some cardstock from Craftwork Cards . The card I used is a 7" square white card from Hunkydory and I added some yellow and white spotty paper (from the " Bohemian Dream " 8" paper pad collection from Craftwork Cards) to about 60% of it using Collall All Purpose glue as it allowed me time to make sure it was positioned correctly.  I then added a strip of black card down the join so it didn't show (I had used one of the pre-installed templates on my Brother Scan n Cut to cut it out).  For the topper itself, I added the Hunkydory " Bicycles and Balloons " topper on to some of their red "Adorable Scorable " which I had cut out previously with a deckl...
