  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this simple but effective 7x5" top fold card using once again using the Mouse and poppies die from Creative Expressions... I first of all used some of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock to cut out the Mouse and poppy die from Creative Expressions Paper Panda range. I had coloured some super smooth card using Hybrid inks to create this pastel background. I used a dotty tape pen (from Crafter's Companion) to attach the die cut to the panel as I didn't want any glue showing. I then fussy cut around it and added it to a panel of Lynda Chapman's Black card again using a tape pen and then trimmed it so that there was a narrow border all around it and then rounded the corners with a Hunkydory Prism punch. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun card made using Sheena Douglass products... I stamped the Chimp image from Sheena Douglass's Only Me stamp set (from the Halfway There collection) on to some Sheena Douglass Kraft card using a mix of Walnut Stain Tim Holtz Distress Oxide and Gina K Obsidian Black ink pads. I then used a paint brush to drag some of the Oxide ink and added some shading to the image with some more ink. I coloured in the headphones using Stabilo FSC pencils to add a bit of colour to the image and cut around it - I used a craft knife to cut out the bit between the arm and body as I couldn't use scissors there. I stuck the chimp on to a piece of bright yellow card from Crafter's Companion using a tape pen and then stamped the musical notes around it using the Gina K Obsidian Black ink. As I thought it was a bit too bright, I used some of the Walnut Stain to "dampen" it down a bit. Once I was happy...

   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a DL card using stamps and a single die (and a punch).... I first of all stamped out the Orchids in Bloom stamp from Creative Expressions Designer Boutique range using Gina K's Obsidian Black ink on white card. I coloured the flowers and leaves in using the FSC Stabilo crayons trying to leave some white space within the design. Once I was happy with the outcome, I used an oval die (any will do) to cut it out and edged it with a Blue alcohol marker. I then stuck it to the front of a DL (the corners of which I had rounded using the Prism punch - from Hunkydory) using a tape pen as sometimes it comes through to the inside of the card when using a PVA glue - but that is probably because I use too much. Set of 6 mini cards or gift tags birds, butterflies and flowers -  Day 319 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I am so pleased with how this set of 6 mini cards/gift tags turned out - I hope you like them too! How I made these cards/gift tags:- All these cards or gift tags have been decorated using toppers made from a set of stamps and matching dies from Vicki Boutin (part of American Crafts). I first of all took 6 mini cards (from Craftwork Cards) and used Creative Expressions Iridescent Shimmer Watercolour paints (Perfect Pastels) to colour a background on each of them.  Whilst leaving them to dry naturally, I then stamped the bird and flower from the set  onto some white stamping card with Tuxedo Black Memento ink as I was going to used alcohol markers. I then coloured them in using various colours trying to co-ordinate them with the backgrounds - such as orange and yellow for the bird, pink and purple for the flower and so on. Once I was happ...

Just to Say.. Thinking of You poppies DL card -  Day 315 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I thought on this Remembrance Sunday, I would show how to make this card with Poppies as the main theme. How I made this card:- I coloured the trio of poppies (from a pre-printed paper pad from Hunkydory I think or it could have been from Chameleon) using Pink and Red alcohol markers (from Spectrum Noir). I then cut around the poppies leaving a white narrow border around it. I decided to use a DL cream card landscape as the Poppies would fit perfectly in the middle of it. Before doing that, however, I cut a strip of green embossed (with spots) card and glued it in the centre trimming it so that it fitted and then drew a black line along the top and bottom using an alcohol marker. Assorted set of 6 mini cards with different sentiments -  Day 305 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I must say I was really pleased with how these mini cards turned out and so thought I would say how I made them for day 305 of my 365 day challenge. How I made these cards:- I painted various backgrounds using a mix of Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colour paint, some Dreamees Chalk inks and Creativ Bleeding Art Tissue. I tried different ideas - some stripey, some chevron and some just playing about! Once they had dried, I used a Tattered Lace circle die and cut 6 out trying to get the best design in each of them. I then used a selection of sentiments - Thank You, Happy Birthday etc and stamped them out on to some black card using Versamagic ink (separately of course). I used True White embossing powder over each of them and heat set them. I then trimmed them to fit each of the circles and stuck them on using a tape pen. I then glued each of the die cuts on t...

Just to say... church in silhouette yellow, gold and black square card Day 269 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card is a very simple but I think, effective square card just using a Tattered Lace die and some plain cardstock. How I made this card:- I cut out the church die (Serenity set from Tattered Lace Dies) in yellow/cream linen effect cardstock -there are two dies in the set and you need to cut out both either together (if you tape them down so they don't move). I then stuck it to some black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and trimmed the top of the oval off to give it a different effect.  I attached that to some gold Mirri card allowing a narrow border around it and then stuck it to another larger square layer of black card.  Before gluing it to a 6" Cream/Ivory Pearlescent card, I stamped the Just to Say sentiment from one of the sentiments collection from For the Love of Stamps on to the black card, having...

Just to say... happy birthday butterflies z-fold card -  Day 266 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a Z-fold Birthday card using butterflies as the main focal point from Memory Box, Heffy Doodle and For The Love of Stamps... How I made this card:- I cut out the Butterfly trio (from a Memory Box die) in black card (from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and attached it to a piece of silver (or gold) Matte  Mirri card. I then made a Z-fold card (130mm) by folding the front back on itself and used my bone folder to smooth the crease down. I must admit that I made a mistake with the next bit but think I sorted it out... I had stamped the Just to say sentiment (from For The Love of Stamps) out directly on to the card but it smudged, so to save it, I added some wide Ultra Strong red liner tape over it and then placed some gold holographic foil (from Thermaweb) over it and burnished it to fix it. Once that was done, I stamped the same sentiment...

A Little note to say... Owl embossed on black 7x5in card -  Day 59 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! A Little Note to say Owl themed card is today's project for my 365 day challenge - can't believe it is nearly 60 days already - where has this year gone? How I made this card:- I really like this owl stamp (from Ornate Owls from Hobby Art Stamps and I wanted to see how it looked embossed in white so stamped it on a circle of black card (95mm) with Versamagic and heat embossed it using Opaque Bright White powder from WOW.  The circle had been cut out using a Tattered Lace die using my Cut n Boss. I then added some leaves from the same set around the edge of the circle and embossed them too (I really want the Gina K wreath building stamp set as it looks so easy to use but you can make some really great effects with it).
