Just to say... church in silhouette yellow, gold and black square card - Day 269 of my 365 day challenge
Just to say... church in silhouette yellow, gold and black square card Day 269 of my 365 day challenge
Today's latest handmade card is a very simple but I think, effective square card just using a Tattered Lace die and some plain cardstock.
How I made this card:-
- I cut out the church die (Serenity set from Tattered Lace Dies) in yellow/cream linen effect cardstock -there are two dies in the set and you need to cut out both either together (if you tape them down so they don't move).
- I then stuck it to some black card (Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and trimmed the top of the oval off to give it a different effect.
- I attached that to some gold Mirri card allowing a narrow border around it and then stuck it to another larger square layer of black card.
- Before gluing it to a 6" Cream/Ivory Pearlescent card, I stamped the Just to Say sentiment from one of the sentiments collection from For the Love of Stamps on to the black card, having using an anti-static pad beforehand.
- I then added some White Embossing powder and heat set it with my heat gun.
- Finally, I stuck the whole mat and layer on to the card using a PVA glue.
And there you are - a homemade/handmade card that is made using only a few products but would be lovely to send to someone to say you are thinking of them...
