Unwind... Hot air balloon in silhouette on hand coloured background card - Day 249 of my 365 day challenge

 Hi Craft addicts!

 Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is another hand
coloured one along with a Tattered Lace die...

How I made this card:-

  • I first of all coloured a white label tag (you can get a pack of 20 really cheaply) using Tim Holtz Distress Oxides - yellow, orange and green -but you could use watercolour pens or even the Spectra Bleeding Art Tissue to create the background though these could make the paper/card to "cockle"...
  • I then cut out the Hot Air Balloon (from Tattered Lace) from black cardstock (I used Lynda Chapman's) and attached it to the label using Midas Touch Sticky dots.
  • I edged the panel using a black alcohol marker (I think I left it the wrong way up as I can see it is a bit patchy).
  • Hunkydory used to have pre cut A6 cards in Adorable Scorable but you could easily cut your own card to fit and so I had this gold coloured one left and so glued the label tag on to the card at an angle using Gina K Connect glue.
  • I wanted a sentiment that reflected the topper, so masked off some of the words in the stamp from Thirsty Brush & Co and inked directly on to the stamp red and green Altenew Ink cubes - I breathed slightly on to it to reactivate it and stamped on a pre cut white label/tag and edged it with the red ink.
  • I placed it at the bottom right hand corner using foam pads,
  • Finally, I added some Gina K Crystalline Drops on either side of the card and left them to dry as they go clear. 

And there you are  a general uplifting card that would be great to give to someone to say you are thinking of someone and there would be a different background every time.

  Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one made totally from scratch. I used the largest circle (about 4") Petit Picot edge die from Spellbinders and cut out two pieces of card - the front is Paper Dienamic Metallink A4 card and the back part is Sheena Douglass A4 white willow card. I scored the back part about 3/4" towards the top and married the two pieces together and added some red liner tape, removed the carrier sheet and stuck them to each other. The black frame is cut out of Lynda Chapman's Black card using the Inverted Scallop die from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection and I stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty pen as it allows the glue to only go on places it needs to. I had a scrap piece of red cardstock and I cut the oval bauble (from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Festive Collection Sparkle Baubles set) and then used silver mirror card to cut out the top part. Congrats... square card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. I then cut a narrow panel (about 2") of the same paper so that it fitted the card and then stuck it to a slightly wider panel of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and stuck that to the card slightly left of the card front. There's Gnome one quite like you 7x5 inch card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun one using a mix of dies and stamps.. I first of all stamped out the Forest Gnome stamp from Francoise Reads collection by Woodware Stamps (part of the Creative Expressions company) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I coloured it in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders and cut each element out as I decided I wanted to use them separately to make up my design. I then cut out the Cracks and Pots dies from Carnation Crafts in white watercolour card and again coloured them in using a variety of the Triblenders until I was happy with the blending. I coloured a small panel of white stamping card (approximately 5" x 4") with Tim Holtz Salty Ocean Distress Oxide for the sky and then a green ink from Simon Hurley - both from Ranger.
