Pugs & Kisses cute dogs square card (hand coloured) - 

Day 268 of my 365 day challenge

HI Craft addicts!

I had great fun making this Pugs & Kisses cut dog themed card using some stamps and dies along with some watercolour paints!

How I made this card:-

• I first of all cut out the Nested Beads Essential Circle die in white card and painted the grass and sky on it using Kuretake Watercolour paints (the green box).
• I put it to one side to dry and then stamped out 2 of the cute pooches from the It's Pawty Time set of stamps from Time for Tea Designs using Versafine Onyx Black ink. 
• As this ink doesn't like alcohol markers straight away, I did leave it overnight to dry properly. I then coloured them in with brown alcohol markers (for the one on the left) and Chameleon pencils for the one on the right. I thought the pencils would give a more furry effect!
• I also stamped out the dog bowl and bone twice onto white card and added some shading to them using a pale grey marker.
• I cut them all out using scissors, but you could use the accompanying die set if you want to leave a white border around them.
• Once I was happy with the colouring, I used the Pugs and Kisses sentiment and stamped it at the top of the coloured mat using the Versafine ink.
• I then cut out a slightly larger circle in a bronze coloured Mirror card using Tattered Lace Forest Pines Nested Circle dies and stuck it on to a 5" square card (brown Adorable Scorable from Hunkydory) using some PVA glue.
• I also used PVA glue to stick the main topper on to it.
• I used a Craft knife to add a slit in the dog bowls so I could slide the bones in and glued them at the back and then added them to the grass part of the topper.
• Finally, I added the two dogs to it using foam pads to give them some dimension.

And there you are - a homemade/handmade card that is made using a variety of products that looks great and would be great to give to someone to say you are thinking of them...
