Sending lots of love.. trio of butterflies 6in square card -
Day 250 of my 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Today's card for my challenge (day 250) is a general one made using a background I have painted myself, some stamps and the new Core cards from Create & Craft.

How I made this card:-

  • I had a spare piece of white stamping card (about 3.5" square) and I thought it would be good to paint a rainbow background and so used my Rare Earth watercolour paints to do this - red first and then orange, yellow, green, blue and purple...
  • Once it was dry I then used an anti-static pad over it and then stamped three butterflies (from Butterfly Wishes from For The Love of Stamps) on to it (using Versafine Onyx Black and Clear embossing powder).
  • I then mat and layered it on to some black card (Lynda Chapman's).
  • I used one of the smaller butterflies again using Onyx Black Versafine ink and again heat embossed Clear Embossing powder over them - I must admit that I added some glitter powder to the bottom butterfly by mistake but added the clear over it and it seems to work ok - in fact,it looks quite good as it has a bit of glitter too!
  • Finally, I then stamped the Sending Lots of love sentiment again using the Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear Embossing powder.

And there you are card that would be great to give to someone to say you are thinking of them and there would be a different background every time.
