  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a fun New Home card featuring a toadstool. I first of all stamped out the toadstool image (from Dylusions) on to some white card - I placed the stamp on my desk, inked it with Gina K Obsidian Black ink and then placed the card over it making sure the image came out ok. I then coloured it in using a mix of Spectrum Noir Tri-blend markers - red, browns and yellows until I was happy with the result and cut around it trying to cut on the black line. I used a scissors to open the door leaving a bit uncut so it opened. For the background I coloured some Willow White Sheena Douglass cardstock using Ink Lily Winter Glitter pens (which have gold glimmer in them but can't be seen in the pic). I also created another background using a piece of yellow cardstock from a Tattered Lace Halloween collection and spritzed it with a variety of Aladine's Izinks sprays to create a brownish background. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a Congratulations card using stamps and alcohol markers.... I took the Scented Blooms stamp from a Jane Gill collection in the Woodware range from Creative Expressions and stamped it on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink as it is a hybrid ink and can be used for both watercolours and alcohol inks. I then used Spectrum Noir pastel alcohol markers to colour the flowers in - I decided to use pink, yellow and lilac colours as I wanted it to look a bit Spring like.  Once I was happy with them, I then coloured the leaves in with a couple of Green Tri-blender markers again from Spectrum Noir and fussy cut around the whole image. For the background I used various watercolour inks and also Cosmic Shimmer Neon Green polish along with adding some a Green/gold Glimmer pen from Ink Lily to the darker part of it and let it dry. It's Your Birthday.. Let's Celebrate... Children with kites in silhouette A6 card Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making this card and I hope you like it too! How I made this card:- I first of all took a piece of white stamping card and cut it so that it fitted the front of an A6 white top fold card, leaving a very narrow border around it. I used Simon Hurley dye based ink pads along with a few Rare Earth Water Reactive inks to create the sunrise/set background. I started off with Buttermilk and Apricot Dream from Rare Earth and blended them in, then moved up to Slippery When Wet and Over the Moon from Simon Hurley again blending them all in. I then used an oval mask to cover the centre top part of the card and coloured it with Traffic Cone (Simon Hurley) and Raspberry Fizz (from Rare Earth) leaving a moon/sun effect when I took it away. Hello - Harvest time silhouette on hand coloured background -  small card Hi Craft addicts! I am just watching the first of the semi-finals of Wimbledon and thought this little card represented the sunshine we have at the moment... How I made this card:- I used a pre-cut deckle edge panel of white card and added some distress crayons* (from Tim Holtz) in stripes across it, blending them in as I added them - I also used a  paintbrush with a little water to smooth some of the lines out. Once I was happy with what I had done, I then added some of the Harvest Time Stylish silhouettes to it - I placed the flower strip first in the middle using a PVA glue, then another one and finally the fence. The Hello sentiment comes from the Lily Bouquet stamp set (from Crafter's Companion) and I stamped it directly onto the top left hand corner using Jet Black Altenew ink. Birthday Wishes... Floral spray on sunrise background A6 cream card Hi Craft addicts! I found a whole stash of these A6 Deckle Edged cards and thought I better make use of them! How I made this card:- I created the background using a panel of white stamping card (precut panels 147x76mm are available from Sweet Dixie). I used Orange, Red and Yellow Prism ink cubes and blended them in. When I was happy with the effect, I used a paintbrush and flicked some water all over it, left it a bit and then dabbed off the excess to give a bleached effect in parts. I then stuck it on to the front of one of the cream A6 Deckle Edge cards using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I stamped the Floral Spray image (from Woodware) on to another piece of white Stamping card using Black Gina K Amalgam ink (it can be used for both watercolours or alcohol markers). Be Someone's sunshine... Muppets themed card -  Day 308 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is a fun one made using a Muppets Topper (as it is a licensed product you can't sell the card but it would be great to give to some to say hello!) How I made this card:- I had coloured the background some time ago and am not sure which Tim Holtz Distress inks I used but you can see blue, pink, red, yellow, orange definitely!  Once I was happy with the colours, I then dropped some water on to it and dabbed it off to give the bubble effect. I then used two picot edged rectangle dies (from Tattered Lace) and cut out the frame which I then glued it on to some black card using some PVA glue. I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" black pearlescent card (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) again using PVA glue. Spooky! Black cat in silhouette Halloween card -  Day 304 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Happy Halloween! Today's card I have made another spooky one - this time using a Black Cat on a hand coloured background. How I made this card:- I first of all took an image of a cat in silhouette from the web on to my Brother Scan n Cut and used the image tracing function to bring it in to Canvas Work Space.  Once that was done, I resized it to one that I was happy with and cut it out of some black card (American Crafts I think as it has a slight texture to one side). I then masked off the centre part of an A6 white card (linen effect) with some purple masking tape, leaving roughly an inch on either side and coloured them with Orange and red Tim Holtz Distress inks. I also cut a circle using a plain die out of white card and coloured that in to match and glued it to the centre of the card (once I had taken away the tape of course!). For a Little Princess - Have a magical day Birthday square card - Day 224 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 224 of my 365 day challenge is a Birthday card that could be used for a little girl or just someone who likes Unicorns and fairies! How I made this card:- I took one page  from the Twilight Forest fairy collection by Hunkydory and separated the topper from the frame. I then hand coloured a piece of white stamping card that fitted the inside of the card trying to make it look like a sunrise. I used Creativ's Bleeding  Tissue to create it. I stuck the background in the card, trimming it to fit. I cut the two border strips into 4 and stuck them on to the frames using a tape pen making sure that when I added the circle topper the joins were hidden. I then added the two mini sentiments on either side of the main topper.  To make sure the "waste" part of the topper fitted,I had previously placed the circle topper...

I love you to the moon and back space themed card -  Day 191 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft  addicts! I was really pleased with how the background turned out - I once again used Tattered Angels water colour inks and immediately knew once I had seen it that it would make a great space background.... How I made this card:- I first of all covered some watercolour card with some water and then used reds, yellows and orange Tattered Angel Color Wash paints to create the scenery - I made it lighter in the centre with some more water. I then let it dry - if you do heat set it then the card may warp a bit. I then used a stencil from Sheena Douglass to create the landscape at the bottom of the card - (I used True Graphite Altenew ink for this). I also added some clouds in the sky by using a dark grey alcohol marker as it lightens when dry. I used the planet part of the same stencil to add the earth in the top right hand corner, again using the True Graphite ink. ...
