Shorthand notebook Flowers, butterflies With Love -  Day 34 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I have a load of shorthand notebooks which I bought some time ago and thought I would decorate one of them and this is the result. How I made this project:- I covered the front and back of the shorthand notebook with this pretty pink and white striped paper (I think it is from First Edition from DoCrafts) and trimmed it to fit. I stamped the flower spray (from Honey Doo) on the left hand bottom corner using Onyx Black Versafine ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then coloured a couple of the flowers using Zig Clean Color Pens (they are water based so I knew the colours wouldn't go through to the back of the cover). I added the Ivy Border spry die-cut (which I had cut out from a Tattered Lace die in black card) to the top right hand corner, using sticky dots to stick it as I didn't want any glue showing. Just Because MDF wooden butterfly (black) -  Day 15 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge is an MDF wooden butterfly that I have decorated with butterflies from Altenew. How I made this projects:- I first of all covered both sides of this large butterfly (which I either got from Dreamees or Clever Cut) in Black Gesso (I used Pebeo this time but know that there are many other brands available. I used a anti-static pad over it to reduce grease marks etc and then inked up the Butterfly stamp (from Altenew) once and then used some Papermania's Seafoam White embossing powder and used a heat gun to emboss it. I repeated this process several times to cover it. I thought it might be interesting to use a sentiment as the body of the butterfly so added the Just Because sentiment using the same process. I then added the red and white Baker's Twine to allow i...

Door with butterflies and ivy mini pallet art wall hearing -  Day 131 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! So for today's challenge I have used another set of the MDF mini pallet s from Stamps Away t o make this door wall hanging. I first of all glued the 4 pallets together using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue leaving it to dry before each and then attached the smaller panels to give the effect of a door. Once it was all stuck properly, I then painted it with "Ivory" acyrlic paint from Nuvo , giving it a couple of coats making sure it was dry between each. I also painted the reverse side too. Once at was all done, I used the Tonic Studios " Beautiful Buckle " strip die to cut out a panel which I thought might look like a decorative embellishment and glued it to the "door". I painted the lock (again from Stamps Away ) in black and stuck it in between the 2 struts. I felt that it needed something else so first of all stamped and em...
