Thank You... Rainbow circle card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one made from scratch using dies and stamps... I used one of the larger Shabby Edge Circle dies from Tattered Lace and cut out two in Sheena Douglass Willow white card. I then scored about 3/4" down from the top of one of them (making sure that the bevelled edge is on the outside of the back one). I placed some red liner tape on the top part of the scored one, remove the backing and stuck the two together making sure they matched. Using another of the dies (two sizes smaller), I cut it out in some pale blue paper (from Paper Boutique range by Creative Crafting World) and then stuck it to the front of the card. I then used some of Lynda Chapman's Black Card to cut out another layer using the same die set. I already had a die cut scalloped edged circle in white card which I saw would fit this card and so I stamped the rainbow out (from Find the Rainbow set by Crafter's Companion Gemini) and col...

Happy Birthday to You.. rainbows and sun A6 card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a bright and cheerful one that I have made into a Birthday card but the sentiment could be anything you want! I didn't want to use the rainbow stamp from Crafter's Companion Look for Rainbows slider collection and so just stamped it four times, North, South, East and West using Gina K Obsidian Black ink on to some white stamping card. I then stamped the sun image using the same ink in the spaces. I coloured the rainbows in using Spectrum Noir Tri-blender markers and used the Yellow one for the sun. I trimmed the topper so it was smaller than an A6 white card, and edged it with a black alcohol marker. I attached it to a piece of green Mirri card (with a tape pen as I find a PVA glue can mark the Mirri card.  I then trimmed that after rounding the corners of both the topper and the card itself. I used the solid tape pen once again to stick it to the card. Finally, I stamped the "Happy Birt...

Bee Happy beehive, honey and bees 7in square card -  Day 131 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 131 of my 365 day challenge is one using the Bee Happy stamp and mask collection from Hunkydory, some alcohol markers and inks. How I made this card:- I used the Bee Happy For the Love of Masks stencil to colour the border of a 7" white car using Altenew inks - Mango Smoothie, Cotton Candy and Mustard Seed Tim Holtz Distress inks. I then stencilled through the small bee section of the mask using Pure Graphite Altenew ink in each of the corner. I cut a panel of orange card (from Coredinations or American Craft) which measured 150mm square and edged round it using a dark brown alcohol marker. I decided to use 4 pre-cut white card panels (approx 67mm each) and stamped one using the honeycomb, another with the BEE happy sentiments, smaller bee and flowers, a third one with the beehive and the last one the honey jar. I then stamped one of th...
