Thank You... Rainbow circle card - 365 day challenge

 Hi Craft addicts!     

Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one made from scratch using dies and stamps...

  • I used one of the larger Shabby Edge Circle dies from Tattered Lace and cut out two in Sheena Douglass Willow white card.
  • I then scored about 3/4" down from the top of one of them (making sure that the bevelled edge is on the outside of the back one).
  • I placed some red liner tape on the top part of the scored one, remove the backing and stuck the two together making sure they matched.
  • Using another of the dies (two sizes smaller), I cut it out in some pale blue paper (from Paper Boutique range by Creative Crafting World) and then stuck it to the front of the card.
  • I then used some of Lynda Chapman's Black Card to cut out another layer using the same die set.
  • I already had a die cut scalloped edged circle in white card which I saw would fit this card and so I stamped the rainbow out (from Find the Rainbow set by Crafter's Companion Gemini) and coloured it in using both Spectrum Noir Tri-blenders and Prisma pencils.
  • I used a blue Tri-blender (with brush nib) to colour around the rainbow, leaving part of it white so I could stamp the Thank You sentiment out in the space using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
  • I also stamped out the Sun image from the same collection and then used the co-ordinating die to cut it out.
  • I added some foam pad to the back of it and placed it at the bottom of the rainbow.
  • Finally, I added three Black Nuvo drops under the sentiment.

  Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. I used blue and green Distress Oxide inks for the background and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Hummingbird shadow effect on C6 white card -  Day 267 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 267) came about after I had cut out the "Songbird" die from the Couture collection and thought it would be really useful as a stencil using some inks. To make the topper:- I had cut out the "Songbird" die (from Couture by Create and Craft) out in white card and thought that it would make a really good stencil to use as a background. I took one of the Stamping card tags from Craftwork Cards (in the " Stamping Must haves ) collection and coloured over the die-cut in various places (also reversing it so the bird was looking the other way).I used a variety of green ink pads - Tm Holtz " Mowed Lawn " and Generation INX G01. Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card -  Day 265 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The rain has finally stopped and so I have made this simple but effective card using stamps and dies... How I made this card:- I used one of Tattered Lace Floral Wreath dies to cut out the main topper in white card. I then coloured it with various shades of green alcohol markers and when I was happy with it, I stuck it to some Gold Mirri Card (approximately 3" square) and then using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (or Gina K's Connect glue) I attached it to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card which is part of the Core Collection from Create & Craft so it formed a diamond shape. Using Orange, Red and Yellow Bleeding Art Tissue, I coloured some card and when it was dry I used a Tattered Lace Nested Beads Essential Circle Dies to die cut a circle.
