Have a wonderful day.... abstract flower and leaves tall card - 365 day challenge

Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this tall DL card I have made from scratch using dies and stamps....

  • I first of all took one of the larger Shabby Edge Tall rectangle dies from the Tattered Lace range and cut out two pieces of card (you need an A4 cutting machine to do this and I used my Kit n Caboodle Pro-cut).
  • I scored one piece of the card about 3/4" from the top (down the long edge but you could do it at the top to make a tent fold version).
  • I added some red liner tape, removed the backing and then placed them both together (making sure that they matched) to make the card.
  • I took another of the Shabby Edge dies which was slightly smaller and cut out another rectangle, this time in this purple colour paper (from the World of Paper by Creative Crafting World) and stuck it to the front of the card using a solid tape pen.
  • I used another piece of Sheena Douglass's Willow White cardstock and placed it in a stamping platform (this time the Eureka 101 as it takes rubber stamps) decided where I wanted the Abstract flower, picked it up with the top and then inked it with Gina K Obsidian Black ink and stamped it a couple of times to make it a really crisp image.
  • I then decided where I wanted the leaf to go, picked it up, inked it with Safari Green Nuvo Hybrid ink pad and then repeated the process beneath the flower.
  • I used a paintbrush to drag some of the green down in both leaves but had a bit of brown already on it so it gives a more autumnal feel to it.
  • I then coloured the flower in using a Blue Spectrum Noir Tri-blender marker - I really love them as I don't have to worry about the colours working.
  • I used a Pentel Black fineliner to add some wavy lines to the design to link them all together.
  • I also used the same Safari Green ink to add a bit of colour to the background and then edged it with a Black alcohol marker.
  • I used a tape pen to attach the panel to the card.
  • Finally, I stamped the Have a Wonderful Day sentiment (from Creative Expressions) on to some white card, fussy cut around it and then placed it at the bottom of the card.

  Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. I used blue and green Distress Oxide inks for the background and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Hummingbird shadow effect on C6 white card -  Day 267 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 267) came about after I had cut out the "Songbird" die from the Couture collection and thought it would be really useful as a stencil using some inks. To make the topper:- I had cut out the "Songbird" die (from Couture by Create and Craft) out in white card and thought that it would make a really good stencil to use as a background. I took one of the Stamping card tags from Craftwork Cards (in the " Stamping Must haves ) collection and coloured over the die-cut in various places (also reversing it so the bird was looking the other way).I used a variety of green ink pads - Tm Holtz " Mowed Lawn " and Generation INX G01. Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card - Day 265 of my 365 day challenge

Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card -  Day 265 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The rain has finally stopped and so I have made this simple but effective card using stamps and dies... How I made this card:- I used one of Tattered Lace Floral Wreath dies to cut out the main topper in white card. I then coloured it with various shades of green alcohol markers and when I was happy with it, I stuck it to some Gold Mirri Card (approximately 3" square) and then using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (or Gina K's Connect glue) I attached it to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card which is part of the Core Collection from Create & Craft so it formed a diamond shape. Using Orange, Red and Yellow Bleeding Art Tissue, I coloured some card and when it was dry I used a Tattered Lace Nested Beads Essential Circle Dies to die cut a circle.
