Enjoy your Special Day - layered tulips square card - 365 day challenge

Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one using Stamps by Me products along with Hybrid inks...

  • I rounded the corners of a 6" white card using a Hunkydory punch.
  • I then cut a piece of teal Metalinks card (from Paper Dienamics) to fit the card leaving a narrow border around it and then rounded the corners of that too.
  • I followed the instructions of the Stamps by Me Abstract Tulips layering stencils (from 1-4) using a variety of colours for each layer starting with the lightest solid image right up to the darkest outline style one last of all.
  • I also used the little snowflake/star stamp and stamped it all around the image using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
  • When I was happy with the result, I rounded the corners and stuck it to the teal card and attached both to the front of the card.
  • Finally I stamped out the sentiment on to some white card, added it to some of the teal card and added it using foam pads.

Congrats... square card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. I then cut a narrow panel (about 2") of the same paper so that it fitted the card and then stuck it to a slightly wider panel of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and stuck that to the card slightly left of the card front. Happy Birthday Bee card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a bright and cheerful one with a bee theme and I hope you will read more as to how it was made! I first of all decided which of the various beautiful designs I wanted to use from the latest Bumblebee Dance paper collection from Creative Crafting World's Paper Boutique range. After a while, I chose the Bee circle topper and the bee background paper to use as i think they are so colourful. Using the topper as a template, I chose a Tattered Lace Scalloped edge die and cut out a circle slightly larger than the topper and attached it using PVA glue. I then used the Rectangle part of the Standalone Dies from Time for Tea and cut it out twice, once in Lynda Chapman's Black card and another one using the Bee paper from the Paper Boutique collection. Merry Christmas to all circle Christmas Card - 365 day challenge

  Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one made totally from scratch. I used the largest circle (about 4") Petit Picot edge die from Spellbinders and cut out two pieces of card - the front is Paper Dienamic Metallink A4 card and the back part is Sheena Douglass A4 white willow card. I scored the back part about 3/4" towards the top and married the two pieces together and added some red liner tape, removed the carrier sheet and stuck them to each other. The black frame is cut out of Lynda Chapman's Black card using the Inverted Scallop die from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection and I stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty pen as it allows the glue to only go on places it needs to. I had a scrap piece of red cardstock and I cut the oval bauble (from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Festive Collection Sparkle Baubles set) and then used silver mirror card to cut out the top part.
