It's the Little Things..Conker 4in card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!     

Today's card for my 365 day challenge is a very quick and easy one that you can easily make into a larger card giving more white space.

  • I first of all rounded the corners of a 4" white card using a Hunkydory's punch.
  • I had a small scalloped edged rectangle from a previous project (Creative Expressions Slimline dies) and decided that the Conker stamp from the Autumn Blessings Pumpkin Patch stamp set from Crafter's Companion and stamped it on to the card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
  • I then used Spectrum Noir's Triblender markers to colour it in, trying to create the impression of its' shiny shell.
  • Once I was fairly happy with the result I then stuck it to some hand coloured card with a tape pen.
  • The pennant part of the design is 2 dies from the Paper Boutique's Essential Nesting Dies Vol IV and I cut them out in the same card stock as the Conker image and stuck them together again using a tape pen.
  • I stuck the pennant down first in the middle of the card and then placed the topper over it with some thin foam pads.
  • Finally, I took the It's the Little Things sentiment from Lisa Horton's sentiment range, stuck it to some more of the coloured card and added it to just under the topper with slightly thicker foam pads.

  Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. I used blue and green Distress Oxide inks for the background and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Hummingbird shadow effect on C6 white card -  Day 267 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's challenge (day 267) came about after I had cut out the "Songbird" die from the Couture collection and thought it would be really useful as a stencil using some inks. To make the topper:- I had cut out the "Songbird" die (from Couture by Create and Craft) out in white card and thought that it would make a really good stencil to use as a background. I took one of the Stamping card tags from Craftwork Cards (in the " Stamping Must haves ) collection and coloured over the die-cut in various places (also reversing it so the bird was looking the other way).I used a variety of green ink pads - Tm Holtz " Mowed Lawn " and Generation INX G01. Relax, Calm Unwind 6in black pearlescent card -  Day 265 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! The rain has finally stopped and so I have made this simple but effective card using stamps and dies... How I made this card:- I used one of Tattered Lace Floral Wreath dies to cut out the main topper in white card. I then coloured it with various shades of green alcohol markers and when I was happy with it, I stuck it to some Gold Mirri Card (approximately 3" square) and then using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue (or Gina K's Connect glue) I attached it to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card which is part of the Core Collection from Create & Craft so it formed a diamond shape. Using Orange, Red and Yellow Bleeding Art Tissue, I coloured some card and when it was dry I used a Tattered Lace Nested Beads Essential Circle Dies to die cut a circle.
