Sending lots of love... Badger A6 card - 365 day challenge

Image
Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card is a simple but effective A6 card using stamps and dies.... I cut out a piece of white stamping card and stamped the Sweet Dixie Badger image on to it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I used a mix of Stabilo FSC colouring pencils and alcohol markers to colour the animal and foliage in. For the grass and sky, I placed some Blue and Green Distress Oxide inks on to a glass mat, spritzed some water on them and used the inks as a paint. I then cut out a panel using the Petit Picot Rectangle die (middle size one) from Paper Dienmamics Metallink card stock and then trimmed the stamped image to fit inside it. I also edged the panel with a black alcohol marker. I had made the card myself using a Lisa Horton Rectangle stitched die.  I cut two pieces out, scored the back one about 3/4" down from the top, added some red liner tape, removed the backing and stuck it to the card. I then made sure the two pieces of card lined up p...

Sending Love Daffodils DL tentfold card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a bright and cheerful one using stamps and dies on a DL top fold card. I first of all cut out a large panel of bright green card that fitted the front of a DL card which is a landscape one that I used to make a tent/top fold card. I then added a smaller panel of the gingham/check paper using fingerlift tape as I didn't want the paper to buckle. I used two smaller pieces of the same card and paper to create a smaller panel and glued it to the side or top of the card. I cut out the bunch of daffodils in white card (it is a Tattered Lace die) and coloured it in using the Orange and Yellow Crystal Tints by Creative Expressions. I then mat and layered it on to matching Green card which is part of the Tattered Lace die and attached it to the front of the card using foam pads. I used the Sending Love stamp and stamped it on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink, mat and layering it on to some green and then black card again adding it to t...

Sending Love.. cute kids with heart 7x5in card - 365 Day challenge

Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is one that would be great for Valentine's Day and makes use of both dies and stamps! I had cut the backing layer for another project but didn't use it so decided to use it with this one. It is a Rose Gold colour Mirror card and the die is from Stamps By Me (I think). I attached it to the front of a 7" x 5" white card using fingerlift tape as I didn't want to have any glue showing. I stamped the cute kids image out on to some white stamping card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink - the stamp is from Bring on the Boys collection from Linnie Pink I coloured them in using Crafter's Companion Spectrum Noir Triblenders as they make colouring in so easy with the 3 shades in one pen. I used blue and green Distress Oxide inks for the background and then edged it with a black alcohol marker. Using Hunkydory's Prism Corner round puncher for both the main card and the topper, I rounded the edges. I again used Fingerlift tape to ...
