Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a Christmas card themed one using dies, stamps and alcohol markers. I rounded the corners of an A6 Kraft card (from Tonic Studios) using my Hunkydory punch. I then took a piece of white card, cut it to fit the front of the card and also rounded the corners of that too and attached it using a solid Tape pen (either Create & Craft or Crafter's Companion). I cut out the oval frame using Spellbinders Oval Petit Picot edged die in both the brown Metallink card (from Paper Dienamics) without the centre die and then again in white card, this time adding it so that I could use it to stamp on. I stamped the Snowman image (part of Crafter's Companion Wobblers collection) using Gina K Obsidian Black ink and coloured it in using alcohol markers.   Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this simple but effective one using dies and stamps with some hybrid inks. I first of all rounded the corners of an A6 white card using my Hunkydory Prism punch. I had cut out some panels using a stitched edge die (not sure which company it is from but could be Lisa Horton or Creative Expressions) in white card. Whilst still in the die, I coloured the panel using pinks and blues hybrid inks - both Crafter's Companion Harmony/Tim Holtz Distress Oxide or Tonic Studios Nuvo range. I then used the new Make a Wish stamp set from Honey Doo Crafts and stamped the main image on it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink. I coloured the butterflies in using some watercolour ink from Ken Oliver (Marigold) and then edged the panel with a black alcohol marker. Once I was happy with the scene, I then stuck it to some of Crafter's Companion Orange linen effect card from their Autumnal Blessings card pack, trimmed it so ...

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge has been made from scratch and here is how I did it..... I first of all took the 7x5in die (from Creative Expressions Noble Rectangle die collection designed by Sue Wilson) and cut two pieces of white card and attached them together by scoring about 3/4" from the top of one of them, adding some red liner tape and sticking them together. I then cut out two further pieces, the mat layer in Lynda Chapman's Black card and then one in white. I stuck the black mat layer on to the front of the card and then coloured the white piece using various Izink Dye based ink pads to create a magical looking background. I was playing with the latest Gnome collection that Crafter's Companion's Nature Collection - Gnome Home and Gnome child and created the larger of the toadstools using the dies and stencils and some of Izink ink (what was left on my brushes).   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one made using a mix of products and could be for any occasion... I had previously created the background using Creative Expressions Pixie Powders sprinkled on previously dampened Lynda Chapman's Black card and then added a bit more powders and water to it until I was happy with it. I let it dry and then cut a panel out using the Inverted scallop A6 die from Crafter's Companion and put it to one side. I had also coloured a piece of white card, this time with Hybrid inks and cut it out using the same die this time keeping the inside panel for another project. I attached both sections to the front of an A6 white card, the corners of which I had rounded using a punch. I now see that it isn't quite straight but you would make sure it was!   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one you could send to someone who has passed their exams or driving test and so on. I used the smallest of the Ornate tags dies from Carnation Crafts and cut the mat layer out in white card and then the main layer out in black card.  I attached the two together using a dotty tape pen as the glue only sticks to the card and not the empty spaces! I can't remember who produced the champagne glasses but I had cut them out in white card and thought I would use them and so stuck them to the bottom of the tag with a solid tape pen. I had also cut out the flower shape (from Lisa Horton) but thought it would look good on this card so stuck it to the top of the card, this time with PVA glue in the centre only. I trimmed a sheet of Paper Boutique's check paper to fit the front of an A6 white card (rounding the corners of both with a punch) - approximately 3.5" x 4.5" and used a solid tape pen to st...

  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card is one that could be sent to a friend you haven't seen for some time! I decided to stamp the flower spray (from the Sending Smiles die and stamp collection from Stamps by Me) directly on to the front of a 7" x 5" white card which I used as a tent fold card. Before stamping it, I rounded the corners using my Prism punch from Hunkydory. I put the card in a stamping platform and stamped it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink a couple of times to make sure it was perfect.  I also stamped the Lovely Friend sentiment at the same time at the bottom of the card. I then added some masking tape and inked the left hand side of the card with a mix of Izink Dye based ink pads. I added a narrow strip of red liner tape, removed the backing and placed some black foil on top of it and burnished it so that there was no stickiness left. Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a bright and cheerful one using toppers and dies with a Gnome theme. I decided to use an A6 white card and so rounded the corners using my Hunkydory Prism punch. I used the Creative Expressions Shabby Basics Cheesecloth die and cut it out using Sheena Douglass's Kraft card. Using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (Walnut Stain and Gathered Twigs) I dragged them across the die cut to give it a bit of depth and heat set it so it didn't come off on my hand! I used a dotty tape pen to attach it to the front of the card - this pen is great as the glue only lands on the card and doesn't "string". I wanted to use the Gnome collection from Paper Boutique/Creative Crafting World and decided that the floral and gnomes on flowerpots toppers would be idea. I trimmed two of the floral toppers to measure 2.5" x 1.5" and stuck them to the middle of the card again with a tape pen, this time a soli...

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a Mermaid themed card which I have made from scratch... I took a piece of greeny teal card from Tattered Lace and cut it so it created a 7" x 5" landscape card and then scored it down the middle using my Hunydory Adorable Scoreboard. I then rounded the corners using a punch (again from Hunkydory). I have had these mermaid and clam shell dies for ages but hadn't used them and thought I better, so cut the two sizes of mermaids in black and white card several times and then the clam shell largest nested die so cut out in white and then the next one down in black. I coloured the white one in using Tim Holtz Distress inks and once I was happy with the result, stuck the black one on to it using a tape pen. I stuck the mermaids in each corner and then the clam shell in the centre of the card this time with PVA glue.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this DL card using a variety of Companies dies and papers. I decided to add a variety of coloured cardstock to some self adhesive paper to see what sort of effects I could create so first of all added strips of Purple, Green (both light and dark) and Yellow to it after removing the backing sheet. Once I was happy with it, I took the Slimline Starry Background die (designed by Sue Wilson) and placed it over the card and cut it out. I then removed all of the stars, removed the second backing sheet and stuck it to some of Lynda Chapman's black card. I also cut out the Decorative Rectangle Aperture die (again designed by Sue Wilson) and trimmed it so that it was slightly larger than the starry design and then glued them together, making sure that there was a narrow black border around it.
