Believe in Magic with ghost and cat square card  Day 292 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for my challenge is one that could be used for Halloween but could be for anyone who likes Harry Potter etc. How I made this card:- I cut out the background mat using the largest die from one of Paper Boutique's Wonderfully Wicked set that came out recently using some orange Dapple cardstock from Create & Craft's latest Core Collection. I then cut out the Believe in Magic layer using the die from Tattered Lace in Lynda Chapman's black card. As it cuts within the card, I then cut around it in randomly! Using PVA glue, I then stuck it to the mat trying to centraliseit. I then glued the whole panel on to the front of a 6" black pearlescent card. I felt it needed something else so I cut out the Ghost and Cat in white card and stuck them to the top left and bottom right hand corner. A nd there you are  - a homemade/handmade card that ...

Dreams are the playground of Unicorns C6 hand coloured card -  Day 141 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft Addicts! I must admit I am really pleased with the way this card turned out - using a resist technique to colour and emboss it.... How I made this card:- I took an A6 piece of white stamping card (this is from Craftwork Cards) and stamped the unicorn (from Sweet Dixie) in the middle of it using Rare Earth Clear Glass embossing ink and added some Seafoam White embossing powder to it and heat set it. I then stamped the flowers, again with the Clear Glass ink and the white embossing powder.  I added the word Magical from the same set, this time embossing it with Wow's Opaque White super fine powder and heat set them. Once they had all cooled down a bit, I coloured the top third of the panel using Tim Holtz's Seedless Preserves, the middle part of it with Salty Ocean and the bottom third with Bundled Sage and Forest Moss, blending all of them together by going ...

Magical fairies and owl C6 easel card -  Day 73 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is another fairy themed card - this time using Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps and an owl stamp from Heartfelt Creations. How I made this card:- I had stamped out these fairies, fairy door, flowers and sentiment from the Flutterby Fairies stamp collection from the For The Love of Stamps range by Hunkydory using Tuxedo Black Memento ink on white card. I coloured them in using Spectrum Noir alcohol markers (blues/greens for their wings, brown and tan for their hair, pinks/purples for the flowers along with some green for the stems and a flesh tone for their faces). I also had stamped out the owl on a branch from one of the Owl stamp sets from Heartfelt Creations and coloured it in with brown shades of alcohol markers. The Fairy door was also coloured in using some brown shades and greys for the hinges and door surround. I cut them all out leaving a very nar...
