Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one that could easily be used for Valentine's Day or really just to cheer someone up! I first of all took a 5in white card and scored it down the middle of the front piece and folded it back on itself and scored it again to give it a good crease. I then cut out 3 panels of grey textured card (from Crafter's Companion 12" paper pad) allowing a very narrow border. I stuck them to the card using PVA glue (this time Dawn Bibby's glue). I then cut out the Couple under an umbrella in black card (Lynda Chapman's from Creative Crafting World) having first attached it to some Wild Spider Self Adhesive sheet. I removed the backing sheet and placed the die-cut on the front panel, trimming the umbrella as it was slightly too big. I then used an anti-static bag and dusted the inside panel, then stamped the sentiment (from Honey Doo Mandala collection), added some True white embossing powder and heat set it. Laugh... girl and flower Z fold card Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making this card - I must admit I created lots of different shaped cards using the Tartan background paper and this is one of them.... How I made this card You need 2 5" white cards for this process, and you need to fold the front part of the card back on itself and cut it (to the depth you want the fold to be (this one is about 1.5") and reversed it. I then folded the front of the 1st card back on itself so that the fold was in the middle. I measured each panel (there are 5 in total - the two front pieces and 3 in the Z fold) and cut the tartan paper to fit them - it is an A4 pad so you can get all panels out of one sheet.  I then glued them all on to the relevant panels making sure there was a narrow border around all of them. I had all of the die-cuts pre-cut and thought they would go well with this design - the small girl is from Tattered Lace, the Laugh sentiment is a Tonic Stu...

Just to say... happy birthday butterflies z-fold card -  Day 266 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a Z-fold Birthday card using butterflies as the main focal point from Memory Box, Heffy Doodle and For The Love of Stamps... How I made this card:- I cut out the Butterfly trio (from a Memory Box die) in black card (from Lynda Chapman's World of Paper) and attached it to a piece of silver (or gold) Matte  Mirri card. I then made a Z-fold card (130mm) by folding the front back on itself and used my bone folder to smooth the crease down. I must admit that I made a mistake with the next bit but think I sorted it out... I had stamped the Just to say sentiment (from For The Love of Stamps) out directly on to the card but it smudged, so to save it, I added some wide Ultra Strong red liner tape over it and then placed some gold holographic foil (from Thermaweb) over it and burnished it to fix it. Once that was done, I stamped the same sentiment...

Fairy on toadstools with a ladybird 7x5in Z-fold card -  day 97 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project (for day 96 of my 365 day challenge) is one that I have still to perfect - a Z-fold card! i have used Tattered Lace dies, colour wash paints from Tattered Angels and Rare Earth blending inks.. How I made this card:- I used two 7x5in white straight edged cards and folded the front cover on each back on themselves and then a strip measuring  about 2" from one of them from the bottom. I then folded that one in the opposite way to the first one so that the longer edge was at the front and the two shorter edges were at the back. I then coloured it with various shades of green Tattered Angels Color Wash paints and left it to dry. I also used it to colour 2 panels inside the card. Thinking about it now, I would probably used blending inks to do this as the paint warped the card slightly. Whilst it was drying, I used Rare Earth's Lavender ...
