Sunflower in silhouette on checked background square card -  Day 240 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Day 240 of my challenge and once again I have used a Tattered Lace Sunflower die - this time for a birthday card with a hand coloured stencilled background. How I made this card:- I first of all placed the More Squares 6" mask (from That Special Touch, Creative Expressions) on to a panel of white stamping card and secured it with some purple low tack tape. I coloured it in using a variety of Tim Holtz Distress inks - reds, oranges, yellows, blues and greens trying to blend them all in so the colour changes looked smooth... I trimmed it down so it measured approximately 120mm square and then attached it to a slightly larger panel of gold Mirri card (either Hunkydory or Kanban) having edged it in black using an alcohol marker. Using one of the flowers from Rare Earth's Forest Friends Stamp Collection, I stamped it three times on the right hand side of...

Happy Birthday toadstool and rabbit in silhouette C6 card -  Day 207 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card for day 207 of my challenge is a bright and cheerful card using a die cut as a stencil along with some Tattered Lace dies and a sentiment! How I made this card:- I had cut out the flowers using a Stamps by Me die but hadn't found a use for it as a die-cut but thought it would be good as a stencil, so I took a piece of linen effect white card and using a mix of Tim Holtz Distress inks and Altnew inks coloured through the various flowers. I trimmed it to 90x140mm and edged it using a black alcohol marker and stuck it to the front of a white linen effect C6 card - I chose the linen effect so it looked as if it was the same as the topper. I then cut out the circle layer (Tattered Lace) in a light Kraft colour cardstock and then the rabbit and toadstool - again both Tattered Lace, this time in black card. I stuck the toadstool and rabbit on t...

Just for you card - Butterflies and flowers on 6in square card -  Day 106 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had coloured the butterfly background ages ago and thought that it would go with both the butterfly from Stamps by Me and the Just for You sentiment from Paper Boutique. How I made this card:- I made the background layer first by using a butterfly mask/stencil to colour through using Orange and Yellow Distress Inks (it measures 145mm approx). I then edged it twice, once with a tan coloured alcohol marker and then again with a dark brown one. I cut out the Butterfly twice (both outline and layer) out of black and white card and coloured the body with red, oranges and yellows trying to co-ordinate it with the background. I then placed the black outline at an angle on the bottom right hand corner and stuck the coloured butterfly inside it, only using glue on its' body so you can open the wings. I then cut out the grass/leaves out in green card o...
