Just Because... dogs in silhouette on hand painted background  A6 card...  Hi Craft addicts! I hope you all had a great weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead! I had fun painting the background and then deciding what to use it for - these dog silhouettes were just the right thing! How I made this card:- The base card I used is a white linen effect A6 card - I think these came from Craft Creations but any will do of course. I first of all die-cut the dogs (from the Fun, Frolics and Flight Tattered Lace Collection) out in black card. I chose these two as they look as if they are coming from different directions. The card is Lynda Chapman's black card from Creative Crafting World. I then took a small piece of white card (I used stamping card but watercolour card would do just as well) and created the sea scene using Kuretake's Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors and Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent Shimmering watercolour paints. Congratulations space themed personalised square card Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is one I made for a friend of my daughter and as she has now got it I can show how I made it.... How I made this card:- I first of all used shades of blue Kuretake's Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to create the background on some white stamping card (or you could use watercolour card if you want a textured finish) and left it to dry naturally. To prevent it curling, I taped it down on to a glass mat and let it dry there... I then used the Planets circle die from Paper Boutique and cut it out from the above background. I used the Mat layer die from the same set and cut out a slightly larger circle on which I glued the topper using PVA glue. I didn't have an exact match to the painted background so used one sheet of Create & Craft's Core Collection linen effect paper to create the background (slightly smaller than the 6" square card) and stuck it to it using a PVA...

Sending Lots of love... dragonfly on wood effect background  A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today's handmade card is one I made using a background coloured using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons, a Paper Boutique Dragonfly die and some backing papers from Hunkydory.. How I made this card:- I had painted a background using Kuretake's Gansai Tambi Pearl Colours paints along with some Creative Expressions Iridescent Shimmering Watercolour (Perfect Pearls) paints. Once it was dry, I cut out the Dragonfly wings and body (from The Paper Boutique's Dragonflies and a Bee set) and then the body out from some black self adhesive paper and attached the latter to the former (if that makes sense). I had also coloured a background out on some white Yupo paper using Tim Holtz Distress Crayons and I cut out a circle from it using a Tattered Lace Die. Happy Birthday to you... Watercolour flower spray 7x5in card Hi Craft addicts! I was thinking of trying a variety of stamping techniques using just one stamp and I have come up with a few ideas and here is one of them using watercolour paints (as it is Watercolour Wednesday) -  more will be posted over the next few weeks.... How I made this card:- I first of all stamped the flower spray image (Woodware's Bold Blossoms - Caroline set) out using Versamagic ink and True White Embossing powder on to some white Ink Me card and heat embossed it using my heat gun. I then added some water over it and then coloured the flowers etc in using Gansai Tambi's Pearl Colours watercolour paints - they are really lovely as they have a pearlescent effect when dry! - I used the pink, yellow, blue and green colours... Once it was dry, I trimmed it so that it fitted the front of an 7" x 5" white card (leaving a narrow border around it).I coloured the background in using Simo...

Let's Go on an adventure - wizard and dragon on hand painted background card Hi Craft addicts! Once again I had a great time making this card - I had been trying out painting a background and as usual wondered what to do with it - then I got this idea! How I made this card:- I used Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to create the background- blues, yellows, reds, greens and black - once I was fairly happy with the result, I left it the panel (white stamping card but you could use watercolour card. I then stamped out the Wizard and Dragon (along with the sentiment Let's go on an Adventure) on to some white stamping card using Black Gina K Amalagam ink. These stamps are from the Dragon's Cove collection from Rare Earth. I used Spectrum Noir Tri-blenders to colour them in -  I wanted them to be slightly different than normal so used Green shades for the Wizard and then Purples for the Dragon. Two for Tuesday small Christmas cards -  Day 338 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today I have made TwoFerTuesday 😀😃 using Hunkydory's For The Love of Stamps and DoCrafts dies. These are for day 338 of my 365 day challenge... How I made these cards:- Card One... (Christmas Bells)  This card is very simple to make - I first of all cut out the Bells die (from DoCrafts Xcut)  in black card and stuck it on to some dark teal card. Once it was dry, I trimmed around it - just under the black card so that no teal was showing outside. I then used a PVA glue and stuck it to the front of a white 4" card. There is no sentiment on this but I will add one later on.. Card Two.... (Snowman skating) I then painted some white stamping card with various blue shades of Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints and left it to dry. Two Christmas Cards today -  Day 336 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! i have made two cards today - both DL but totally different in design - one using a topper, the other a die-cut.... How I made these cards:- Card 1 (top) I painted this background some time ago using various Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints, creating this sunrise/sunset background and thought it would be great to use with these Three Kings die cuts (from Tattered Lace) which I cut out of black card. I trimmed the background so that it would fit a DL card (leaving enough room on the right hand side) with black alcohol marker. I then edged it with a black alcohol marker and glued it to the left hand side of the card. I used Midas Touch Sticky dots to attach the Three Kings to the panel trying to make it look as if they were travelling in a row. I then cut out the Season's Greetings sentiment (again from Tattered Lace) in black and glued it to the right hand side of the card. ...

Joy to the World - Mother and Child card -  Day 334 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card is a Christmas card but could also be used for a new baby which I have made using Tattered Lace dies, Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints and Maribu Flip Flop paints! How I made this card:- I cut out the Mother and Child Tattered Lace die out in white stamping card. I then painted another sheet of card using Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints - blues and blacks mainly. I used one of Tattered Lace's Rectangle Torn Edge dies to cut a panel out and then dusted it with an anti static bag.  Using Versamagic ink, I stamped some flowers all over it and added Clear Embossing powder to heat set it. Once it had cooled down, I used a flat paint brush to add some of Maribu's Flip Flop paint and covered it - it is really hard to see in the photo but it changes colour from pink to blue depending on the light. It dries very quickly and so I used a PVA g...

Cute Snowmen on 2 handstamped 4in cards -  Day 332 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I had great fun making these cards using stamps and alcohol markers - they are small cards so could be used as tags too! How I made these cards:- Card One (left) I have had the oval mats and layers from Hunkydory for ages and thought I need to use them up so used a medium sized one for the card on the left. I stamped the skating snowman out on to the white INK me oval card using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, trying to make sure it was in the middle. I coloured it in using Orange, Red and a cool Grey alcohol markers (any will do but I used Prism markers from Hunkydory). I then attached it to the Gold layer using a tape pen, again trying to make sure it was centred. I also added some blue and green dye based inks to create a background.
