  Hi Craft addicts!       Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Birthday card using an embossing folder and inks... I first of all took a piece of white card (I am using Sheena Douglass's Willow White) and trimmed it so that it fitted the inside of the Falling Leaves Embossing folder from the Autumnal Blessings collection from Crafter's Companion and embossed it. I then placed the stencil over it and taped it down and then used a variety of Autumnal coloured inks (ie Walnut Stain, Crackling Campfire, Antique Linen etc Tim Holtz Distress Oxide) until I was happy with the blending and removed the tape. I trimmed it further so it would fit the front of a 7" x 5" white landscape card and used it as a top fold (from Paper Boutique by Creative Crafting World) and edged it with a black alcohol marker and then rounded the edges with a Hunkydory Corner punch.   Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Bee themed square card using the Bee-youtiful collection in the Nature's Garden set from Crafter's Companion. I used the Bees and Flowers Mini embossing folder from the collection and cut a strip of card that I had previously created a background on and embossed it. I then used some Obsidian Black ink from Gina K and brushed the ink pad over the embossed area a couple of times so that the embossed area is highlighted. I trimmed it to approximately 4.5" and 1.5" wide and stuck it with a tape pen to a strip of Lynda Chapman's black cardstock and trimmed that so that it fitted the left hand side of a 5" white card. I used the Bee stamp and stamped it on to the card (1st and 2nd Generation) to create a background. Happy Birthday...Leaf in silhouette on hand coloured tag A6/A2 card Hi Craft addicts! Nearly the Bank Holiday weekend and so I have made this quick and easy Birthday Card using a Stamps by Me die and some stamps (along with a hand painted tag)... How I made this card:- The base card is an A6 (A2 in the US) which can be got from all sorts of companies such as Hunkydory, Paper Boutique etc.... I had coloured the tag (it is a medium sized cream one) using orange, yellow, green and red water colour paints and left it to dry. Whilst that was happening, I cut a panel of blue card, 4.5" x 5.5" (from Create & Craft's Core Collection) to fit the front of the card and embossed it with the Skinny Woodgrain Embossing Folder from Creative Expressions. When the tag was dry, I place the leafy foliage die from the latest Stamps by Me collection and cut it out in the centre. I will use the actual die cut in a later project as I wanted to use the "waste" cut...

Mosaic black cat Birthday Wishes 7x5in black card.. Hi Craft addicts! Well, it is apparently National Hug a Cat day today so thought this black mosaic cat would be appropriate to write about! How I made this card:- I coloured a piece of 5" Yupo paper (from Ranger) using a variety of alcohol inks - for this particular one I used Jaquard Pinata colour inks as they are lovely and bright (especially on Yupo paper). When I was happy with the design, I let it completely dry and cut out the solid mat layer in black card from the Watercolour Cat die set from Tattered Lace. I then cut the main layer out of the background using the other die in the set along with the mat die as I wanted to cut it out totally. These dies are from their Unity collection so the mat layer cuts very close to the main topper. I glued them both together using PVA Glue, but you could add a self adhesive layer so you don't have to do this... I had cut out the frame out in Silver Mirri some time ...

Happy Birthday country scene white silhouette A6 card Hi Craft addicts! Today is Throwback Thursday, and rather than reproducing an older card, I thought I would make a card using products that came out some time ago! And here it is.. a Birthday card using Hunkydory's Stylish Silhouettes sets which I have had for ages but haven't got around to using them! How I made this card:- You need to release the pieces you need carefully as they are quite delicate and the "pips" come apart fairly easily... anyway, I decided to use the clouds, sun, scarecrow, tractor and one of the landscapes and placed them on to a piece of blue card I had left over (it measures approx 4" x 3". When I was happy with where I wanted them, I used a PVA glue (the Cosmic Shimmer mini bottle as it has a very fine nib) to add glue to all the pieces and stuck them on to it - you can use either side of them as one is a brighter white and the other a laser cut effect. Thanks. You're a Star square card with embossed woodgrain background Hi Craft Addicts! Today's card for The 100 Day project is a quick and simple card using an embossing folder and stamps... How I made this card:- I first of all cut two pieces of card (one black and the other Gold Mirri) to fit the 7" x 5" Skinny Woodgrain embossing folder and embossed both of them (I used my Gemini cutting machine). I then cut the black piece so that there was about an inch on either side and stuck it to the front of a cream/ivory 6" square card (from Create & Craft) using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue. I placed the gold embossed over the same part of the design and cut it so there was an equal space on either side and then glued it down again using a PVA glue. I stamped the Thanks and You're a Star sentiments (from Toni Darroch's Stamps by Me range) on to some black card using Versamark, added some True White Cosmic Shimmer Detail Embossing Powder ...

You Bring Sunshine... Bamboo and moon glitter 7x5in Kraft Card Hi Craft addicts! I hope you had a brilliant Easter and enjoying the sunshine! Today's card for the 100 day project is one I really liked making using Glitz Craft paste, an embossing folder and a sentiment stamp. How I made this card:- I wanted to used one of the latest embossing folders from Creative Expressions (Narrow Woodgrain) and found I had a piece of cream Adorable Scorable card and used that to emboss it. I then used a brown Tim Holtz Distress Oxide ink and spread it on to the card to highlight the grain and left it to dry. Whilst that was happening I used low tack stencil tape to attach the Bamboo stencil to some white stamping card and used Green and Sand Glitz Craft paste through it. Once I was happy with it, I also left that to dry. I trimmed it so that it measured 9x15cm and edged it with a brown alcohol marker. Cute Critters Season's Greetings Christmas Card -  Day 344 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Well it is only 2 weeks until Christmas and here is another card which I have made using embossing folders, Distress inks, Dies and stamps. How I made this card:- I first of all used a landscape Embossing folder and embossed a piece of white card. I then used blue, green, grey and black Dye based inks to create an atmospheric scene. Once I was happy with it, I then used a White Gel pen to add some stars  and then edged the panel with a Black alcohol marker. I stuck a piece of blue card on the front of a 7" x 5" white card (turning it on its' side to be a tent fold card) and glued the panel on to that. I then stamped the Moon and Santa Sleigh on to it using Memento Tuxedo Black ink towards the top. I stamped the cute critters image on to some white stamping card again in the Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it in using Prism alcohol markers (from their ...

Time passing - with love clocks 6in card -  Day 244 of my 366 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! For today, I have tried to use different ways of using things, so have used some papers from the "Bohemian Dreams" 8" paper pad collection along with some " Silver" mirri card. To make the card - I first of all cut a piece of the "numbered" paper to 135mm square and glued it to the front of a 6" inch white card. I then took a sheet of the "Silver" Mirri Card and embossed it using the "Small Polka Dots" folder from DoCrafts. I then cut it down to 128mm and attached it to the card so that there was a narrow border remaining. After that, I cut out the "clocks" from the "Bohemian Dreams" collection (2 sheets) and fussy cut them and glued them one on top of another at irregular angles.
