Just to Say.. Thinking of You poppies DL card -  Day 315 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I thought on this Remembrance Sunday, I would show how to make this card with Poppies as the main theme. How I made this card:- I coloured the trio of poppies (from a pre-printed paper pad from Hunkydory I think or it could have been from Chameleon) using Pink and Red alcohol markers (from Spectrum Noir). I then cut around the poppies leaving a white narrow border around it. I decided to use a DL cream card landscape as the Poppies would fit perfectly in the middle of it. Before doing that, however, I cut a strip of green embossed (with spots) card and glued it in the centre trimming it so that it fitted and then drew a black line along the top and bottom using an alcohol marker. Just to Say ... Thinking of you Poppies square card -  Day 306 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! With Remembrance Sunday fast approaching, I have made this square card featuring hand coloured poppies for day 306 of my 365 day challenge. How I made this card:- I used one of Hunkydory's Prism Poppy images from their recent Paper pads and coloured the poppies in using various shades of red alcohol markers - you can use Hunkydory's own or any other brand of course - I still have to try out Copics! Once I was happy (are you ever totally happy with what you do?) with them, I then added a background to it using blue watercolour paints (either Rare Earth, Altenew or even a couple of shades of the Bleeding Arts tissue). Once it had dried, I then added some Green distress inks in the corners (adding a small border to it too). Boo! set of 5 Halloween themed mini cards -  Day 281 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's project is a set of 5 Hallowe'en themed mini cards that I have hand painted and then used various die-cuts for the main focal points. They would make great invitations or cards to send to school friends! How I made these cards:- I first of all cut out all of the die cuts - 4 in Lynda Chapman's black card and one in white card - The spider is from the Hallowe'en collection from Paper Boutique (from Creative Crafting World) and the others are from Sweet Dixie. I then used various colours of Tim Holtz's Distress Oxide Inks and coloured the front of 5 mini (3in) cards making sure that the back and inside didn't get coloured too!  I wanted the cards to be bright so that the silhouettes would work well and when I had done the blue one (top right hand corner) realised that a white topper would work better. You don't have to be perfect... girl with flowers 7x5in card -  Day 193 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! Today's card (day 193 of my 365 day challenge) is a hand coloured and hand painted cute card that I have made using Tattered Lace dies and water colours. How I made this card:- I used a panel of watercolour card and painted it using orange, yellow, green, blue and purple Tattered Angels Color Wash paints in a rainbow pattern and left it to dry. Once it was, I trimmed  it so that it measured 100x145mm and glued it to the front of a 7x5in white card. I then cut out the cute little girl, the rabbit, flowers and leaves from various Tattered Lace dies and coloured them all in using a variety of alcohol markers - blues, pinks, yellows, oranges and green for the flowers and leaves - some of them were attached so snipped them into smaller parts so that I would be able to fill the basket. Love and hugs hand coloured poppy 7x5in card   -  Day 190 of my 365 day challenge HI Craft addicts! I have made a flower themed card for day 190 of my 365 day challenge which I have coloured in using alcohol markers. How I made this card:- I first of all took one of the Color Cards that come with the Chameleon pens and coloured it in using purple and pinks alcohol markers for the flowers and greens for the leaves and stalks. I must admit that I didn't use the Chameleon pens for this as I am still learning how to use them. I then used a grey alcohol marker to add a slight border around them all and a darker beige to ground the flower at the bottom. Using a blue alcohol marker I edged the panel and set it aside whilst I worked on the card itself. I first of all used my mini score board and scored 3 lines at the top and bottom of a 7" x 5" white card (from the inside) and coloured them using various Altenew inks which lightened once they had dried....

Live, Love, Grow - Cactus themed easel card -  Day 115 of my 365 day challenge Hi Craft addicts! I used 2 shaped Hunkydory cards to make this Cactus themed easel card which I have hand stamped and hand coloured for day 115 of my 365 day challenge! How I made this card:- I cut one of the shaped cards in half and used the outer edge of the Prickly Plants For The Love of Masks  stencils and coloured a border using the Altenew Brilliant blue ink pad. I then coloured through the flower section using the blue Altenew ink and then some dark red ink which I part blended with the blue to create the purple shading. I then added the cacti in opposite corners using Parrot Altenew ink pads. I cut a strip of vellum/parchment and embossed two sets of the sentiment stamps from the accompanying stamp set in Onyx Black Versafine ink and clear embossing powder.
