Bee Happy beehive, honey and bees 7in square card - Day 131 of my 365 day challenge

Bee Happy beehive, honey and bees 7in square card -
Day 131 of my 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

Today's card for day 131 of my 365 day challenge is one using the Bee Happy stamp and mask collection from Hunkydory, some alcohol markers and inks.

How I made this card:-

  • I used the Bee Happy For the Love of Masks stencil to colour the border of a 7" white car using Altenew inks - Mango Smoothie, Cotton Candy and Mustard Seed Tim Holtz Distress inks.
  • I then stencilled through the small bee section of the mask using Pure Graphite Altenew ink in each of the corner.
  • I cut a panel of orange card (from Coredinations or American Craft) which measured 150mm square and edged round it using a dark brown alcohol marker.
  • I decided to use 4 pre-cut white card panels (approx 67mm each) and stamped one using the honeycomb, another with the BEE happy sentiments, smaller bee and flowers, a third one with the beehive and the last one the honey jar.
  • I then stamped one of the larger bees on to a panel (which came from one of Hunkydory's window aperture cards) and some flowers and coloured the frame bit using a couple of alcohol markers.
  • I used alcohol markers (orange and brown) to colour in the beehive and green for the grass. I added some blue ink for the sky. For the honeycomb, I coloured them in using yellow and orange Zig Clean Color Water colour pens. I coloured in the door using the brown marker.
  • For the flowers, I used some dye based inks and used a water brush to fill them in. The honey jar was coloured using the same orange and brown alcohol markers as the beehive along with the blue/purple ones for the cover. I also coloured the sky in using ink that was left on a sponge.
  • I stuck them next to each other on the larger panel leaving a narrow border around each of them (having edged them in brown alcohol marker too).
  • Finally, I stuck the whole thing to the front of the card and added the bee panel to the top left hand corner panel using foam pads.
  • I also added a small flower die cut (from Tattered Lace dies) in the middle of it.

And there you are a card that is easy to make and would be great to give!
