Day 19 of my 366 day challenge - hand decorated Evening Landscape in natural wood picture frame 

Hi Craft addicts!

So for this challenge (well it wasn't really a challenge as I thoroughly enjjoyed making it), I have used a variety of things - from Sheena Douglass embossing folders to Cosmic Shimmer watercolour paints. You can see a list of some of the things you will need below

I first of all used the Cosmic Shimmer Iridescent watercolour paints to produce an that I thought looked like an Aurora Borealis night sky and let it dry - I used watercolour card as it also has a textured feel to it.

Once dry, I embossed it using the Sheena Douglass Frosty Night embossing folder.. I thought that the bottom part of the scene looked like water so then painted it in darker "marine" colours and outlined the "shore" with black watercolour paint. For the trees I coloured them in darker shades of green and used the white Shake it Graph-it marker to outline their bases and also added some to some of the stars in the sky.

I then used blacks and browns on the tree in the foreground to give it more dimension. Once it was all dry, I glued it to the backing card in the picture frame and edged it with black wavy peel-off stickers. I also added a butterfly to the right hand corner.

After I had made sure it was the right way up (very important), I then die cut a floral embellishment from Tattered Lace and glued it (using the Xyron Sticker maker) to some blue mirror card and then glued it to the left hand side of the frame using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue
