Floral spray in white on green and black bacground C6 card -

Hi Craft addicts!

 Well today's project for day 111 of my challenge is a simple one and yet looks really stylish and all it takes are some dies and card.


How I made this card:-

  • I first of all scored an C6 white linen effect card several times at the top and bottom.
  • I then added some red liner tape (wide) in the middle of the card and placed some Green foil on top of it and rubbed over it several times until I could see it had taken and lifted the excess foil off.
  • I repeated that at the top and the bottom of the card, this time using a narrower Red Liner tape.
  • I then cut out two oval shapes using Tattered Lace and Spellbinders dies - the scalloped edged one in green and the other in black and stuck them together.
  • I also cut out the floral spray (not sure what Tattered Lace die it is) in white and after I had stuck the oval layer on the front of the card, added the spray to it.

And there you are a card that is a fun card which is simple to make and would be great to give!

Products and items you may need to make this project
  • C6 white straight edge linen effect card and envelope
  • Floral Spray die from Tattered Lace
  • Oval label shaped dies - 2 sizes either from Tattered Lace or Tonic Studios
  • White stamping card
  • Green cardstock
  • Black cardstock 
  • Green foil from TODO 
  • Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue
  • Tape pen
  • Collall All purpose glue
  • Ultra Strong Red Liner Tape

Hi Craft addicts!       Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this Congratulations stamp and some patterned paper. I must admit i can't remember who produced this patterned paper but think it is Paper Boutique from Creative Crafting World.. I rounded the corners of a 5" white square card and thought I would use it as a tent fold (that is with the fold at the top). I then cut out a piece of this foliage patterned paper so that there was a narrow border left when I placed it on the front of the card. Instead of adding a layer of black card behind it, I edged it with a Black alcohol marker and stuck it on using a tape runner pen - so many companies now do them or you could used  a light layer of PVA glue. I then cut a narrow panel (about 2") of the same paper so that it fitted the card and then stuck it to a slightly wider panel of Lynda Chapman's Black cardstock and stuck that to the card slightly left of the card front. Happy Birthday Bee card - 365 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts! Well today's card is a bright and cheerful one with a bee theme and I hope you will read more as to how it was made! I first of all decided which of the various beautiful designs I wanted to use from the latest Bumblebee Dance paper collection from Creative Crafting World's Paper Boutique range. After a while, I chose the Bee circle topper and the bee background paper to use as i think they are so colourful. Using the topper as a template, I chose a Tattered Lace Scalloped edge die and cut out a circle slightly larger than the topper and attached it using PVA glue. I then used the Rectangle part of the Standalone Dies from Time for Tea and cut it out twice, once in Lynda Chapman's Black card and another one using the Bee paper from the Paper Boutique collection. I took a 6in white card and cut off about 1.5" from the front of it and then used my Hunkydory Scoreboard to score the back part of the card several times. I used PVA glue again to glue the bl...

Merry Christmas to all circle Christmas Card - 365 day challenge

  Hi Craft addicts! Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is this one made totally from scratch. I used the largest circle (about 4") Petit Picot edge die from Spellbinders and cut out two pieces of card - the front is Paper Dienamic Metallink A4 card and the back part is Sheena Douglass A4 white willow card. I scored the back part about 3/4" towards the top and married the two pieces together and added some red liner tape, removed the carrier sheet and stuck them to each other. The black frame is cut out of Lynda Chapman's Black card using the Inverted Scallop die from Crafter's Companion Gemini collection and I stuck it to the front of the card using a dotty pen as it allows the glue to only go on places it needs to. I had a scrap piece of red cardstock and I cut the oval bauble (from Creative Expressions Sue Wilson Festive Collection Sparkle Baubles set) and then used silver mirror card to cut out the top part.
