Happy Birthday with Butterflies 7x5in card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's handmade card is one I have made using dies, stamps and a background I created using alcohol inks.
- I first of all cut a panel of Yupo paper slightly larger than I knew I would need and created a background using pastel alcohol inks (pinks, greens, yellows and blues) and put it to one side.
- I then cut a mat layer slightly smaller than the 5" x 7" white card and then another one again slightly smaller using Lynda Chapman's Black Card and another one yet smaller in a bright green card (from Crafter's Companion) and stuck them on top of each other using PVA glue.
- I then added some self adhesive paper on to some more of Lynda Chapman's Black card and cut out the butterfly topper (I think it is from a Stamps By Me collection), removed the backing sheet and attached it to the background burnishing it down so that it was completely stuck down.
- The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Crafter's Companion and I stamped it on to some white card using Gina K's Obsidian Black ink, fussy cut around it and then added it to the card with some foam pads.
So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:-
