Mermaid Canvas with textured background and Congratulations Bird A6 card
Mermaid Canvas with textured background and Congratulations Bird A6 card
As I have missed a couple of days posting anything, I thought I would show you two totally different things I have made for the 100 Day Challenge....
Mermaid stamp on 4" Canvas.. |
- I took a 4" white stretched canvas (Student Art) and covered it several times with Blue, Green and black Radiance Paints from Stamps Away - must admit I have had them for ages and didn't think they would be usable but had no trouble with them at all!
- Whilst the paint was still wait, I added more to the canvas, this time with the straight edge of a paintbrush raising it slightly to give it some texture.
- I then left it to dry overnight.
- I had one of these Mermaids already cut out (from Time For Tea stamp set) and thought it would go really well with it and attached it to the canvas with the relevant glue.
- I haven't added any cord or ribbon but will at a later date.
Products used:-
- Student Art 4" White Stretched canvas
- Blue, Green and Black Radiance Paint from Stamps Away
- Time for Tea Mermaid stamps and dies collection
- Green alcohol markers
Congratulations -bird on branch with co-ordinating strip of Radiance paint |
- I first of all used various brown shades of Tim Holtz Distress Crayons to create a background and left it to dry and then cut out the Bird die (from Tattered Lace).
- I had used some of the same Radiance Paints (from Stamps Away) to create a background and I then cut out a strip about an inch long and attached it to the front of an A6 white card.
- I stamped out the Congratulations sentiment (from Lisa Horton's Sentiment stamp collection) out on to a separate piece of white card using Black Gina K Amalgam ink.
- I then cut it out, giving it a wavy edge and then coloured the edge with a blue alcohol marker.
- I attached the sentiment first of all to the bottom right hand corner using foam pads and then added the bird on top of the strip, again with foam pads.
- Finally, I added Nuvo drops to the top and bottom corners to add a bit of colour to it.
