Birthday wishes... Giraffes in silhouette on hand coloured background - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's latest handmade card is a slightly different one today - I hope you like it...
- I masked off a panel of white card measuring about 5" x 3" using purple tape and used the blue and purple Himi Silk Crayons to create the background - you just scribble the colour on where you want and then used a paintbrush to blend them in until you have the desired effect.
- Once it was dry I added some of the white crayon to add a bit of cloud to it.
- I used the Safari stencil from Creative Expressions, masking off the rows I didn't want to use and coloured through it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
- I rounded the edge of the panel using the Prism Hunkydory punch and did the same to the large panel of blue card.
- I edged the white panel with a black alcohol marker and stuck it to the blue card with PVA glue and then glued the whole thing to a 7" x 5" white card which I used as a tent fold style.
- I then took the Giraffe die from the same set as the stencil and cut it out from Lynda Chapman's Black card and stuck it on the right hand side of the card with PVA glue and then trimmed it to fit.
- The Birthday Wishes stamp is from a Honey Doo collection and I stamped it out on to some white card using Versamark ink and then added some Black glitter glue from Lisa Horton and heat embossed it.
- I cut around it and added it to the card with some foam pads.
- Finally I added some white and black Nuvo drops to create the Giraffe's eyes.
