There's no Bunny like you... DL card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's latest handmade card is a DL card which could be for Easter or just to say hello!
- I really love the corner punch from Hunkydory's Prism range and so I rounded the corners of a white DL card.
- I then cut out a panel of white card and scored it right across it vertically to give it a wooden plank effect and again rounded the corners and glued it to the front of the card using PVA glue, having first edged with a Black Alcohol marker.
- I used a mix of Green and Brown ink pads (from Simon Hurley and Tim Holtz, both part of the Ranger range) and drew the pads down the card to create a background I liked.
- I then stamped the carrot and leaf images from the Woodland Friends range from Crafter's Companion using Gina K Obsidian Black ink all over it to add some interest to the background.
- I also used a Green alcohol ink to colour in some of the leaves.
- I stamped the Bunny and carrot on to white card again using the Gina K ink and coloured the first two using Spectrum Noir Triblender markers.
- I then cut them out with scissors trying to leave a narrow white border around all of them and first of all added the Rabbit on to the front of the card with some foam pads, having previously snipped around his leg so that I could glue the carrot in the space.
- The card on which I stamped the sentiment was left over from another card (the waste from an aperture) and so thought it would be useful to use it for this so edged it with a black alcohol marker and again added it to the card with foam pads.
