You are "Pawsome" cool cats Z-fold card -
Day 237 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

I wanted to do something fun today and so have used this really cute and fun image from the "Pampered Paws" Little Book of Toppers from Hunkydory along with some die shapes and also a sentiment using my Brother ScanNCut.

  • To make the embellishments - Using my Brother ScanNCut CANVAS, I typed out the words "You are Pawsome" in one go and then divided them all so that each letter was separate. I then moved them to form each word, slightly overlapping them and then welded them and then cut them out. (I made sure that they would fit a 7" square card).
  • I then cut out the fish bones, food bowl, fish and pawprints several times in black card using the "Pets" dies from the  First Edition (Trimcraft) collection.
  • I also used one sheet of the "two cats" image from the "Pampered Paws" Little Book of Toppers from Hunkydory (there are 4 of the each design in the pad).
So, to make the card, I did the following....

  • I took a 7" white square card (from Hunkydory) and folded the front of the card back on itself in the opposite direction so that it formed a "Z-fold" rather than an "Easel" card.
  • I then stuck the topper sheet on to a "Rainbow" silver pre-cut Mirri mat again from Hunkydory as they fit each other perfectly.
  • Once it was dry, I used some Collall All Purpose glue and stuck 3/4 of it onto the front of the card so part of it was overhanging.
  • To make the fish bones come out of the bowl, I first of glued a bit of it on to the card and using a tiny amount of glue, added each bone to just inside the bowl, once I was happy with where it was I then added some more glue to the head.
  • I also added another of the fish bones and a whole fish (all coming from the "Pets" diesto the base of the panel to give the impression that the cats had eaten the others and was just moving on to the whole one!
  • For the sentiment itself, I glued the "pawsome" section first and then added the other words at an angle above it.
  • I really love the "pawprints" that come in the "Pets" die set and so cut out 2 of them and glued them to each side and added some "Golden Sunset" Nuvo Gloss crystal drops along with some along the top and bottom of the front of the card.

And there you are....a really lovely card using the cute and fun image from Hunkydory. You can buy it on my website here Don't forget you can visit The Handmade Crafts Shop anytime to see what else I have for sale.
