Winter Scenes x3 hand coloured gift tags/labels - Day 316 of my 366 day challenge
Winter Scenes x3 hand coloured gift tags/labels -
Day 316 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's challenge are 3 different gift tags which I have hand coloured and hand stamped using various ink colours and stamps.
How I made these tags:-
- I first of all took 3 4" small white cards and using the small "Label/tag shaped" die cut these tags out. You have to make sure that one of the edges of the die (side or top) is slightly overhanging the card so that it makes a card rather than 2 different tags!
- As you can see from the tags, I have used "Blue" DoCrafts Papermania dye based inks to create the sky - gradually using more and more to make the sky darker at the top.
- For two of them, I also cut out a small circle in white card stock and stuck it lightly (using temporary glue) to where I wanted the moon to be and repeated what I had done for the one on the right hand side.
- For both the "landscape" and one of the "portrait" tags, I masked off part of the card to make it look as if it was a snowing scene.
- To finish off the scenes, I used the "Trees" from the "Christmas Cottage" stamp set and then used some of the stamps from Card-io's "Christmas scenes" sets. I used Memento for these but would probably use Versafine in the future.
- I then used a Zentangle pencil to add some shadow and some "Morning Dew" Crystal Nuvo drops to add some details.
- Finally, I added a sentiment "Christmas is the time..." to the inside of the "Portrait" one.
And there you are - a lovely set of 3 gift tags which would be great for Christmas and have been made using stamps from Hunkydory and Card-io along with some inks from Generation INX and Papermania. You can buy this set of tags here
