Abstract flowers - monochrome C6 white card - Day 308 of my 366 day challenge
Abstract flowers - monochrome C6 white card -
Day 308 of my 366 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's card for the challenge was made using the "waste" from some flower dies on a black background - using Spellbinders and Tattered Lace dies.
How I made this card:-
- I had made some "flowers" using the Tattered Lace dies in black card and I thought that the waste would make a good topper so backed this on to some Kraft card and made a panel from it (measuring 55x110mm approx).
- I then edged the panel using a "Black" alcohol marker.
- I also used a "White" Gel pen to highlight the inside of the petals.
- I cut out the "scalloped" edged panel using a Spellbinders die (not sure which one) in black card.
- I also embossed this using a 6" x 6" "Small polka dots" embossing folder (from DoCrafts Xcuts) to give it some texture.
- I then added some "blue" ribbon to the centre (securing it with tape at the back) and stuck the whole panel on to the front of a C6 white card. I also tied a small knot on the left hand side of the panel using the same ribbon.
- I then placed the "Flower" panel on to the background using foam pads to give it some dimension.
- Finally, I used some "Morning Dew" Crystal Nuvo drops in the centre of the flowers and in each corner of the background - I really love the way the colour of the card changes the way these drops look.
And there you are - a quick and easy card made using some dies and the waste from other projects.
