Sending love... silhouette flowers on hand painted background A6 card - Day 223 of my 365 day challenge
Sending love silhouette flowers on hand painted background A6 card -
Day 223 of my 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
I have been playing once again with the Bleeding Art Tissue and this is how I made the background for this Sending love A6 white card along with a Tattered Lace die...
How I made this card:-
- I first of all took a piece of white stamping card (not measuring it as I knew I would be trimming it once I had finished colouring it).
- To make the background, I placed small pieces of the Bleeding Tissue on to a craft mat (or a glass mat) and added some water to it so the "paint" remained on the mat and placed the card directly on to the mat, covered it with some scrap paper and pressed it on to the paint.
- I repeated this with various colours (leaving it to dry a bit between each time) I used a paint brush to move some of the paint around and also moved the card to different places so that the whole of it was covered.
- I then let it dry naturally (as I didn't want it to curl up) and then trimmed it to 85x140mm and mat and layered it on to a slightly larger piece of black card.
- I cut out the flowers out of black Lynda Chapman's cardstock using a Tattered Lace die and stuck it on to the top half of the panel using Midas Touch Sticky Dots as parts of the die are quite delicate.
- I then stuck a piece of wide Ultra strong red liner tape to the bottom of the card and placed some Teal/Turquoise foil (from Gina K/Thermaweb) on to it and burnished it down.
- I stamped the Sending Love sentiments (they are 2 separate stamps) on to a piece of black card using Rare Earth Clear Glass Embossing ink and added some white embossing powder. Trimmed it to fit the card and attached it over the foil using foam pads.
- Finally, I used some Nuvo Drops to add details to the flowers and sentiment.
And there you are a card that is very easy to make and would make a lovely card to send to that special person.
