Just for You - Abstract flowers A6 card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's latest handmade card is a very quick and easy card using Lisa Horton dies.
- I rounded the corners of a white A6 card using Hunkydory's Prism punch first of all.
- I then used a stitched rectangle die (measuring approximately 3" x 4.5") and cut out a piece of white card.
- Using Crafter's Companion Harmony Water reactive ink pads, I created the sunset ombre background by blending them all in starting with the Lemon Tonic, then Honey Pot and finally Fuschia.
- I left the panel to dry and then edged it with a black alcohol marker.
- I also used the same inks to colour another panel of card and then cut out the Flowers from Lisa Horton from it and then some others using Lynda Chapman's Black card (from Creative Crafting World) which I had added some self adhesive backing sheet to.
- Once I had cut them out, I removed it from the card and then added the black selection to the panel and burnished them down.
- I used the coloured flowers to add some dimension to the design and only using PVA glue at the base of the flowers, stuck them to the silhouette version and then added the middle of the flowers in black.
- Finally I added the Just for you sentiment from a collection by Woodware Stamps, using Gina K Obsidian Black ink to the top right hand corner.
- I felt it needed something else so just used a black fineliner pen to add some dashes around it.
