Just a note to say Hello Underwater scene 7x5in card -- 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's handmade card is a simple one using stamps and inks....
- I first of all took a piece of white stamping card and, using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks in a variety of blue shades - such as Broken China, Salty Ocean etc and coloured an underwater scene, making it darker at the bottom.
- I then used a stitched rectangle die to cut a panel that fitted a 7" x 5" landscape card (any will do as it doesn't even have to have the stitches around it).
- I then used the Water Elements DL stencil from Creative Expressions and added the sea bottom and the seaweed at different heights.. I did mask off parts of the stencil I didn't want to use. I also added the fishes several times. I used Obsidian Black ink from Gina K to do this as I wanted to be able to spritz some water on top of it.
- I wanted to add some bubbles so used some small self adhesive gems from Craft Buddy to give some dimension.
- When I was happy with the result I stuck the panel on to the front of the card (the corners of which I had rounded using the Prism punch) using a tape pen.
- Finally, I stamped the Just a note to say Hello sentiment from a Woodware collection on to some white card again using Gina K Obsidian Black ink, cut around it and placed it on the card (towards the top in the middle) using foam pads.
