Make a wish.... flowers in silhouette handmade card - 365 day challenge

  Hi Craft addicts!

Today's latest handmade card for my 365 day challenge is one that I have made from scratch using dies and stamps.

  • I cut out two pieces of white cardstock (approx. 300gsm) using the largest of the Spellbinders Petit Picot edge dies and scored one of them about 3/4" at the top and added some Red Liner tape, removed the backing and stuck them together, making sure that they matched up.
  • I had coloured a sunrise/sunset background using Ink Lily glimmer pens, let it dry and then cut it out using one of the smaller dies and attached it to the front of the card using a dotty pen from Crafter's Companion.
  • I then cut another panel using a smaller die, this time just in white, and whilst it was in the die, coloured it in using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks (such as Walnut Stain) so that there was a white edge to the panel.
  • I took it out of the die and then used Creative Expressions Delicate Daffodils silhouette stamp from their Designer Boutique range and the accompanying sentiment directly on to it using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
  • I then added it to the card with some thin foam pads.

So if you think this sounds interesting then why not:-
