Wishing you a Happy Birthday... flowers and leaves square card - 365 day challenge
Hi Craft addicts!
Today's handmade card for my 365 day challenge is a square card (I am trying to make more of these as I prefer rectangle ones to be honest)...
- I decided to stencil directly on to the front of a 6" square card (the corners of which I rounded using the Prism Corner punch from Hunkydory) and so used a Honey Doo Crafts stencil and some green ink to create a centre panel.
- I then stamped out the Passion Flower image (from Jane Gill's collection by Woodware Stamps) on to some white card using Gina K Obsidian Black ink.
- I coloured it in using Greens, Purples and pinks Spectrum Noir Triblend markers until I was happy with the result and fussy cut around it leaving a narrow border around the design.
- I placed it on to the front of the card using foam pads to give it some dimension.
- I stamped out the Wishing you a Happy Birthday sentiment on to some white card (again using Gina K ink) and then cut around it and stuck it with some glue to some purple card and added it to the centre of the floral topper with a tape pen.
- I wanted to add something else to the card so took some Dotty Design self adhesive Enamel dots (pink shades) to each corner and also in the centre of the flowers.
