Happy Father's Day - Football Subbuteo square card
Hi Craft addicts!
Well, here is the first in a series of quick and relatively easy cards that can be made for Father's Day - you can also change the sentiment so that it is suitable for birthdays, thank you or just because! I have used a sentiment and topper from Hunkydory and the "flower" was made from the Tattered Lace Trio dies. I have also used a lovely backing paper that I got from Craft Creations which reminded me of grass but am now not sure if it is still available)....
Having done that, I added the Hunkydory Subbuteo Football topper on to a mat of black cardstock from Creative Crafting World (the die itself is from the Spellbinders' Lacey Nestabilities set of square dies) and glued it to the top right hand corner of the card.
Once that was dry, I then made up the flower shape for the sentiment (this time using two dies from the Tattered Lace Trio set - 2 of the larger shapes (Emma set) in black and green and then one from the Helen set in black), offsetting the green shape onto the black and then placed the smaller rounded one on top of that. I again used Collall All Purpose glue as it allowed me to place them all in the right place. I then added the Happy Father's Day round topper (again from Hunkydory) and using Stix2 foam pads positioned it in the bottom right hand corner.
I also added some faux stitches to the edge of the paper and 3 Tonic Studios Ebony Black Crystal drops to the right hand corner. I have left the inside blank for any message you like but could used a stamp or an insert instead.
So, there you are one Father's Day card that doesn't take too long to make and I think would one that any dad would like to receive!
