Travel by Car - I Heart Dad card
Travel by Car - I heart DAD 7" x 5" tent fold card
Hi Craft addicts!
Another card here that can be used for any occasion from Father's Day to a dad's birthday this time using a Hunkydory topper from the Magnificent Men kit and a "I heart DAD" sentiment placed on a 7" x 5" card which I have turned on its' side to be a tent fold card.
First of all, using one of the "transport" themed topper - "Travel by CAR" from the kit, I matt and layered it on to some white and then black card so that it stood out more.
I then cut out a rectangle (deckle-edged) in a golden coloured Adorable Scorable (7.5 x 9.5cm) card. and then added some black and white Greek key style We R Memory Keepers Washi tape in the centre of it and then placed the topper on top.
Then cut out a larger scalloped/lacy rectangle (10x13cm approx) - think it is a Spellbinders die but could be a Tonic one!! in black 200gsm cardstock (from Creative Crafting World) and placed the whole topper in the centre of this using Stix2 foam pads giving it some height.
Leaving the panel for a moment, I found a border (again from a Hunkydory kit) which I thought coordinated well and cut it into 2 strips and stuck them with a wider band of black card to the right hand side of the card.
I really like the Trio dies from Tattered Lace as they don't have to be used to make flowers - I used 3 different sizes in complimentary colours (ie red, gold and black) from the EMMA set and glued them at different angles and then placed it in the middle of the panel. I then used some STIX2 foam pads and added the sentiment to it.
I haven't added an insert as I felt you could add a variety of them to cover all sorts of occasions - I am going to be producing a range of downloadable inserts that could be printed off and used in this card....
So once again, I have produced a stylish (well I think so) card that uses a variety of products and companies which I think shows that it is really good when you can mix and match them.
