Happy birthday - Tree and flowers - Double easel card - Day 186 of my 366 day challenge

Happy birthday - Tree and flowers - Double easel card -
Day 186 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

For today's challenge, I have made a double easel card using some toppers from Craftwork Cards.

Happy birthday - Tree and flowers - Double easel card
The card itself can be got from Hunkydory but you can get them from other stockists too. I looked at all the colours and shapes of toppers that came in the cardmaking kit from Craftwork Cards (not sure which one but will try and find out)! and decided on the pink scalloped edged circle with the "tree" and the purple ornate label tag square with "Happy Birthday".

I folded both "flaps" first of all and then placed the toppers on them using Cosmic Shimmer PVA glue ensuring that they lay "sideways"so that when the card is opened they are standing in the right direction. (Remember to only glue the part of the card that will be stuck down).

I knew that both flaps will need some form of "stopper" to let the stay open so I chose two pink and white spotty flowers again from Craftwork Cards, gently working the petals so they stood up a little bit and then attached them to the gold border that I had cut out from gold Mirror card (Kanban) using the larger border die from the "Pearl Borders" die set from Tattered Lace. I used some foam pads to raise the flowers from the card.

To finish the card off I added some "Bubblegum Blush" Nuvo crystal drops to the centre of the flowers.

And there you are.- a fun double easel card that would is great for a birthday - don't forget you can visit my website The Handmade Crafts Shop to see what else I have for sale.
