I love Chocolate MDF wall hanging - 

Day 194 of my 366 day challenge

Hi Craft addicts!

So something a bit different today for my challenge - this time an MDF wall hanging that has the fun slogan "I love chocolate".

I used a 4mm MDF wall plaque (it comes from the "Tangled" collection from Dreamees) and coated both the top frame and base in "Chocolate Bronze" Metallic Gilding Polish (from Creative Expressions) a couple of times leaving it to dry in between coats. They measure 120x140mm approximately if you want to get them from elsewhere.

Whilst they were drying I mat and layered the topper (from Hunkydory), onto some bright blue cardstock, then some white and finally onto a lacy rectangle layer  of black cardstock which I had cut out using a Spellbinders die. As this topper was slightly too big, I trimmed the top and bottom to fit inside the frame.

I then glued this on to the back of the panel and then attached the frame on top of that. Not wanting to waste the bits of the topper I had cut out, I glued them on to the frame just slightly offsetting them on either side. To add a bit of "bling" I cut a strip of the gold "chain" bling that Hunkydory brought out recently and glued them to the top and bottom curving them slightly to give them shape.

Finally, I added 2 small circles which I had cut out in black cardstock on to the zig zag borders and some "Morning Dew" Nuvo Crystal drops which will dry clear. I then added some narrow white cord to the back to hang it up with.
